Although I didn't put it in the walkthough there is a ramp that leads to a ledge, almost completly obscured by very dark textured polys. Just past the area where you first come to before the rainbow bridge there will be that hidden ramp. Go up the ramp and there will be a pathway that leads to a pile of bones, in a spot where a gossip stone was when link was young (remember this was Hyrule Castle) go further on the path and you will come to the gate that was part of hyrule castle. My question is this: What is the use of this ledge. It leads to nothing but a dead end. If you leap off of the gateway you will fall into the lava and be sent to the entrance to the Ganon's Castle area like normal. Well after a rather odd discovery, could be a glitch, I can say now that it is possible to throw a bomb into the very center of the lava pool. But, like I thought, no Sky Temple. Here's how to do it. First, go across the rainbow bridge and get on the small landing to the right of the entrance of the castle. Now posititon yourself so that you can face the frame of the entrance. Now take out the Longshot and shoot at the part of the entrance that is beyond the plane of the wall. You will have to have the right angle to do the trick properly. Now shoot the Longshot at it, and you will grapple to the wall (The only place anywhere on Ganon's Castle this is possible) and you will fall behind the wall polygon onto a ledge on the other side. Press Up "C" to orient yourself. There will be no interior to the Castle. The only thing you will see is some scant textured polygons. There is a ledge in here though that juts out a bit toward the Lava Pit. From here if you want to proove to yourself that there is no secret when you throw bombs in the center, you can do it. Heck, though Link in there it doesn't make a difference. I don't know what to call this. A glitch? Trick? Intentional? Not Intentional? It is pointless to get to the other side of the wall yet you can. Hey I've dumped everything I had into the center of that lava pit, and nothing special happened. It's probably meant as some cruel joke for a very tenacious gamer, i.e. waste all his items. But of that I am only making a unprooven assumption. |
