JAPANESE GAMECUBE ZELDA COMES WITH BIG EXTRAS!
Why is it that Japanese gamers get to have all the good stuff sometimes. Well, as it is, Gamecube Zelda, "Legend of Zelda: Kaze no Taku" The game will come with a special collectors disc that contains playable versions of Ocarina of Time and Zelda 64DD, which was never released in the US. There's not a lot of information to go on about it, but so far rumors are saying that there will be some changes with the temples and the location of some items. There's no word on if the graphics will be enhanced, but I would bet that they would considering the Gamecube will be able to greatly enhance the texture detail and smooth out jaggy polygons.
The question still remains though about whether or not Nintendo will release it in the US. If they don't, that's just plain stupid. I would certainly love to play Ocarina agan if I knew it was going to be somewhat better, and I never had a chance to play Zelda 64DD so that would also be great. Since the game wouldn't be on a cart, I doubt that any of the game screw ups and glitches from the Odyssey of Hyrule would work on the disc version. Ocarina of Time was a great game and deserves enhancement considering the hardware now available is far superior to the N64. Well, just have to wait and see, and I would suggest that you petition Nintendo to bring it to the US, whereby giving them a kick in the pants to make it available to fans of the series.
