ZELDA GAMECUBE GETS NAME AND AMERICA WILL GET THE BONUS DISC
It's official the American name for GameCube Zelda is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Uh...yeah. Honestly, that name sounds a little lame, but I assume that it defines the purpose of game, essentially it will probably have something to do with the wind. The game is scheduled for release March 23, 2003. According to Video Game Retailers the American version of GameCube Zelda will come with come with the bonus games, a hi-res version of Ocarina of Time, exactly like the N64 version, and an added game that is essentially the same thing with changed dungeon puzzles called, The Legend of Zelda, Master Quest. Nintendo has yet to make official comment themselves but may likely soon.
Since the game won't be cartridge based, there's a good chance that all the glitches and tricks in the game that can be found on the Odyssey of Hyrule will be absent from Ocarina of Time. Will gamers finally be able to obtain the Triforce in this "Master Quest" or will this holy grail continue to remain ever elusive? It's a good bet that Nintendo doesn't quite understand what the core original Zelda fans growing up from the Nintendo days want and will leave us in the cold yet again.
