LINK'S AWAKENING DX

With the release of the Color Gameboy, a whole slough of remastered as well as new titles are arriving in stores, one of these being Zelda: Link's Awakening DX. Everything you ever loved about Link's Awakening is back in full color with a little extra added. Back when I first got a Gameboy in late 1990, and later played Link's Awakening on the pea-green dot machine, I fell in love with the game. It became the best game I ever played for the system and made a rather natural extension to the Zelda: A Link to the Past experience. Although a little on the cutesy side, I enjoyed that game more than any other game on the hand-held system (Metroid II a close second). Later when gameboy pocket arrived I again fed my AAA's into the little silver (mine was silver, not colored like alot of the other ones) battery monster and played Zelda, hoping that someday I could have a color Zelda for a hand-held. I thought that hell would freeze over before Nintendo went color for the gameboy but in 1998, my second wish came true (Zelda 64 was wish 1) - The GameBoy became color, and following suit Zelda: Link's Awakening was colorized. There was even a extra (easy) dungeon thrown in for good measure. I must say that it is truly a sight to behold to see this game as it should have been done in the beginning. The ending is even better! If you don't own a GameBoy color, then this game is the reason to buy it. If you are a true Zelda fan then you will be really happy to see our hero in the grey... I mean green, tunic back in his adventure through the dreamworld of Koholint. I would recommend this game as a must have for any Video Game collection.
