QUESTIONS FOR MIYAMOTO

Had I been given the chance to talk with or interview "The Master" of Video Games and the creator of Zelda, Mr. Miyamoto, I would have asked him these questions. These represent a consensus of what gamers are interested about and my own curiousities.

  1. What part of Zelda 64 do you find the most enjoyable?
  2. Maybe you can explain the meaning and bearing to the overall storyline the ending of Zelda 64 plays?
  3. What do the virtues of the Triforce, courage, power, and wisdom mean to you?
  4. What aspects of Link do you see in yourself?
  5. Is there any kind of obtainable Triforce in Zelda 64, and is the Triforce in the center of the Quest Status for decoration only?
  6. Are there any secrets that gamers perhaps haven't already found that you would like to share with us?
  7. Do you plan to work on the next Zelda game?
  8. If so, what direction are you planning to take the plot, future, i.e. after Zelda II, or past, prior to Zelda 64's Imprisoning War?
  9. Do you know any information about Nintendo's next console, N200X? How will it compete with Sony's Playstation 2?
  10. What's your favorite game of all time?
  11. Who do you model Princess Zelda after?
  12. What is the meaning of the Red Pheonix symbol that appears on Link's Hylian Shield as well as the birds/wingspread eagles that underscore the Triforce.
  13. Will there be a Lock-On Cart made to add new dungeons, magic, storyline, events, characters, to the current Zelda 64?
  14. Is it possible to get past the Gerudo Guard and closed gate in Gerudo Valley, without a game-enhancer, as young Link?
  15. Do you believe that Aliens have visited Earth?
  16. Is there, or will there be made, any solution to the Hyrule Running Man's race?
  17. In retrospect of the expansion and proliferation of Video Games, what do you think will happen to the industry in the coming years?
  18. In light of many unusual pre-production screenshots circulating around on the internet, what percentage of Zelda 64's environments and plot are we playing in in the final-production copy?
  19. If you could be one person, who would it be?
  20. Regarding UraZelda for the 64DD, what has become of it (Related to Add-On Cart Question)? Will we be seeing this anytime soon?
  21. Why didn't Koji Kondo remaster and enhance the classic Hyrule Overworld Theme for Zelda 64?
  22. Is there any truth to the rumor that Metroid 64 (We see Samus in Smash Brothers) is under development and will be the N64's last great game before the next console?
  23. Why did you put pictures of Mario in Hyrule Castle, and put Bowser-shaped Pendants on Talon and Malon?
  24. What do you think about all the glitches that keep being found in Zelda 64, and Nintendo's denial of difference between Golden and Grey carts in America?
  25. Was there any pressure toward the production deadline to wrap-up development of Zelda 64?
  26. In a previous interview you discussed various "plot-hooks" in Zelda 64, that would be utilized by Zelda 64DD; What are these?
  27. What is the purpose of the chicken in the Windmill? (You can get the Heart Container Piece in the cage in Impa's House without it, just for the record)
  28. If you could do anything over again in Zelda 64, what would that be?
  29. What's your favorite distraction/food while developing Video Games?
  30. Do you think we could work together on a Video Game some time?

      Yep, that's what I would have asked him, If everything panned out the way it was supposed to, but perhaps some of the gaming mags will pick up on my questions and get them answered for me. I'm really bummed that couldn't get to talk with him about all this, I'm sure it would have been fun.
