MISCELLANEOUS GLITCHES AND RELATED DISCUSSION

I still get many letters related to Zelda 64 that claim the discovery of new glitches. In all honesty I have very many of these from hundreds of gamers, and at this point I can never know who found what first. I saved so many and lost many more in mountains of saved messages. This section should pretty much wrap up everything as far as glitches go considering just about every loose end has been accounted for. I will post much of the E-mail I have been sent here so that these other gamers can try some of these things for themselves. I myself have done many of the following things in Zelda 64 a long time ago, but there are probably gamers out there who have not. Now be forewarned, I haven't tried all these out, so some might just have been made up. I'll let the gamers take over from here.

From Dr. Grim: Hi May I suggest that [Creator:zelda@srd44], which can be found when you do the crooked-debug thing, on the bottom line of the black screen, could be a FTP adress?? You see, if you get the bracket out of da' thing, you obtain Creator:zelda@srd44, which is a common way to write FTP adresses in your browser or on IRC. BUT (if that's a FTP adress) there seems to be some missing infos, such as the port to connect to, and the end of the adress (srd44. [...])..if only we could find what srd44 stands for, it would be easier...soo that's all, just wanted to put my 2 cents in the [zelda File]

Dr. Grim Adds: yeah, you heard it right, multicolor haze! here's how to do it : just put on the game, and at the start, when Link is riding Epona and when he's riding in front of the Hyrule Castle, do the crooked cartridge trick, and POOF the castle is multicolor ! great huh? altough I'm not sure if it works on all the version...sometimes, tough, it doesn't work and it only do some weird black things on da screen..just wanted to add my 2 cents to the [zelda File]

[email protected] Wrote: One of my friends named Scott Collins found his horse, Epona in the sky! He stood on top of the Lakeside Lab where you get the heart piece and called it with his ocaraina. He found Epona in the distance running in place in the sky above Lake Hylia!

Goddes Din Wrote:Hey, you know all about the extra bottles trick, right? Well, I have tried it, (it works) and experimented with it. It doesn't matter where you are when you do it, and it doesn't matter what you are catching (I tried it on bugs, fairies, and fish they all worked). The only set back, I found, was that you cannot put potions-or anything else you must buy-into them, the people will either put it in another bottle you have (that is empty) or just say that you don't have any empty bottles.

John Dinger Wrote:hey i think i might of found something intresting. go to the forest temple after youve beat the game. go to the east or west court yard the one wihth that platform that holds the chest that you have to latch on to. if you look above that theres a door and nvi terns green up there. i have tried the scarcrow song and it dosent work. i keep trying to get up there. i seriously think that something is in there(knowing my luck its just another thing).

James Ryan Wrote: Hello! My name is James Ryan. After getting bored of Zelda: ToOt I decide to mess with gameshark and try some codes out or try to get the extra tunics as a kid. Well I found it. I dont know any use but you can use young link to explor in the fire temple.use the Gameshark code to switch ages. Have adult link wear a goron/zora Tunic. Now use GameShark to magicly turn to kid. Wow! He is wearing the Goron tunic. Nothing special but I thought I would tell you because you're site rocks. Ohh yeah. This also lets young link use a equiped megaton hammer if adult link had it equipped. By this trick you can beat Fire temple as young link. And I also found that you can try it and you can have adult link use the boomerange. I know that when you try these two it make the item invisible. Makes you wounder if adult link was suppose to use the boomarange and Young Link with the hammer. Ohh and I havent tryed bt my friend tells me by trying my trick he could use the iron bootts as a kid but I aint sure about that. Please Gamer X list my letter I have written before but I feel you may list this one.

[email protected] Wrote: PLEASE PUT THIS ON YOUR SITE! I had to E-mail you about this glitch because you have the greatest video game site on the Internet, The Odyssey of Hyrule. Three of us want credit for this glitch. We call ourselves knuckles, red, and blue seal. OK, here it is. Go to the Gerudo training grounds as an adult. Go to one of the steel walls or whatever those things are that you can climb up and climb up to the top of it. Keep up held, and perform T-Dog's crooked cartridge trick. Keep up held even after you have pulled on the cartridge. You will fall through and you will be on the other side of the wall. Make sure to push the cartridge back down. This enables you to get the ice arrow without all those keys! This isn't a REALLY big deal, but it is very useful. Just remember who discovered it. Extra Note: I don't recommend doing this unless you've gotten the ice arrow before. It spoils the fun.

[email protected] Wrote: I don't know if you know of this or not but you can turn butterflies into regular fairys by touching them with the end of a deku stick...youmay have to be a child to do this andi've only gotten it to work once because the butterflies constanclt move andif you stand still too long link moves.

[email protected] Wrote: While messing around with the Crooked Cartridge cheat, I discovered that you could walk through boulders. It was then that I remembered that the only think preventing Kid Link from entering the Fire Temple was a pile of indestructible boulders. First I used played Bolero of Fire (C-Down, A, C-Down, A, C-Left,C-Down ,C-Left, C-Down) to warp to the Crater. Next I performed the Crooked Cartridge trick while walking towards the boulders, and sure enough I was able to walk straight through and go into the Fire Temple!! Unfortunately, there are some things you cannot do such as go inside the boss room, as link is too short to make the jump :( I wonder what other dungeons you can get in without a Gameshark? Feel free to put this on your site, but please give me, MojoBob, credit for it. Cheers.

[email protected] Wrote: Use the kokiri CC trick ((the one with no sword and no shield as a child) go to Zelda and follow the stroyline , lie , ect ect.. For some reason you can go back more then once! I also noticed that a fountain in the maze before you meet her resembles the unikorn fountain. Coincidence or not?

WindMill Man Wrote: I have some info about the betta quest, and why it crashes some times. I can't explain all of the reasons why but one of them is that when you use the code you do not put in your name, so when ever some one is about to say your name it locks up. But there are some advantages to that, you can use video gamer X's code and get some weird stuff to comes up, it's pretty useless but it's kinda fun. You probobly already knew this but I'm just makin sure. C-ya

pyro400069 Wrote: hello, you know the music in Hyrule field when beta quest is on? i have herd the same music without a shark!!! i was in the ice cave as an adult and i played the song of storms and it rained then it stoped and the thunder did to but it was the same music up untill i fough the snow wolf and sheak shows up. also i think the Triforce in beta quest is on Link's hand. on the first time i saw it (after i was done looking at it) i pressed C up and link's hands were in front of him and the left one had the Triforce on it! i rapidly pressed C up and L and it got back to link standing in the flowers.i also found how to get to gannon's castle then to the place where talon is sleeping without puting the master sword in the pedistel. here are the steps: get beta quest and fly on then go to the castle, then out of goron's shop, then go backwards from the aly, to the happy mask shop, now your in gannon's castle, go out the front then your on the waterfall by sleeping talon.

Shawn Werner Wrote: All I used was moon jump. Over those two castle gaurds, then when you get there Zelda is still there, and Impa doesn't appear when You leave. You probably already knew this tho

Sean Wrote: hey, i just got done doing the new trick when you get into the chamber of sages and i just could not get the camera to float over to the main platform with link, so i just decided to quit trying to get to it and mess around with the other codes. when i started the game back up i thought i would try holding the R-button when the Nintendo sign came up. when it started me out I was standing on the main platform in the chamber of sages instead of having to try to float over to it. I have a 1.1 so I don't know if it will work with the other models. I just thought I would tell ya.keep up the good work on the site. thanx for reading.

[email protected] Wrote: Swordless Link 2 To do this, you must first do the Fishing Trick where you get your pole out of the pond (Below). Go across the narrow part of the lake to the right of the fishing place. Go to a spot between the fence where the scarecrows are and the wall. Pull out the fishing rod and cast. Link will sit there like hes fishing. Save your game. If this trick worked there will be a Deku stick where your sword should be. In the menu the Master Sword will be gone. Don't try and pull out a Deku stick because it will freeze and you will have to turn the power off and then back on (reset wont work). The way to get your sword back is to put it back in the Temple of Time and then pull it out again. Dont do this with Biggorons sword. If you do it will still be in the menu but you cant select it and Biggoron wont give you another one. i really hope this one works, and i hope it works 4 the grey (what else would i call it?) version of zelda, cuz i hate being left outa all those swordless link triks cuz i dont have the gold zelda, its really annoying believe me!

Kevin Wrote: Here's a little update on your errors section. When playing any 3D type game, if your view becomes obstructed by walls and other objects they become transparent, these sections, like hills, walls, and other items are tranparent on the 'outside'. pop up practically and 3D game and jsut get your view to end up on the 'other' side of a wall and you can see this. It's not really a glitch it just happenes. If you do some movement where your head moves, you can get it too go 'through' the wall, if they didn't do this then the game would have errors, that you are 'too close' to a wall to preform an action. Just thought I'd say something...

Gary Docken Wrote: Also, here are my other finds: Wind Medallion: If you use the weird items code and change any item on your equipment screen into the bow with the fire arrow equipped, you'll see bold japanese characters. If you play the game in the Beta Quest with Japanese Quest on, then all of the words will be in Japanese. Compare the Japanese text on that bow+fire arrow with the medallions Link has. For one thing, the last four characters match the last four characters on all of the medallions! Also, none of the medallions' first characters have the same shape as the bow+fire arrow's first character. I looked it up in a Japanese character dictionary and found it. It stands for "Wind." Confirming Steps Codes needed: Beta Quest 1.0 (8011B9E3 0000) Japanese Version 1.0 (8111B9D9 0000) Replace Magic Spells with Bow+magic arrows (8011A649 0038 + 8011A64F 0039 + 8011A655 003A) 1. You'll start in the Beta Quest. Go to Kakariko Village. 2. Upon arrival, go all the way to the path to Death Mountain. DO NOT GO IN! Talk to the guard, since he's the only person there. 3. If the text is in Japanese, then everything's going well. 4. Press START. Press Z once to see the equipment. On the far right you should see the bows with the arrows equipped (your magic spells are replaced). 5. Highlight the bow with the fire arrows equipped. Note the text it shows on the bottom. Write it down, if you have to. 6. Now press Z or R twice. You'll see the Quest Status. 7. Highlight any of the medallions. Note the last four characters. Compare them with the bow+fire arrows. Those characters make the word "Medallion." I remember those four symbols this way: fallen E, Sword, Ship, and Two Lines, respectively. 8. Now, take note of the first character on the bow+fire arrows. That character means Wind in kanji. Ice Medallion: Do all the steps above until you reach number five. Instead, look at the bow+light arrows. Then look at the Ice Arrows (alone). The first symbol on both is the same. The bow+light arrows used to be an Ice Medallion. Maybe the Ice Caverns meant more?

Alex Hahn Wrote: GET OVER LAKE HYLIA'S WALL!!! Yes you heard me you can gt over the wall at lake hylia!!! heres how you do it: You must be swordless link and know scarecrows song. Go to lake hylia and go over to the fishing place where navi turns green. play the scarecrows song and the scarecrow sould pop out. now swim over to the closest peice of land, (the one with the entrance on it and the 2 scarecorws. get on the land and play epona's song and get on her. (VERY IMPORTANT!!! MUST GET ON HER RIGHT SIDE OR GLITCH WILL NOT WORK!!!) go to the very corner of the lake, as close as you can ge tto the water and play sarias song while on the horse. you should be floating above epona. Get out your hookshot and hook onto pierre's head(the scarecrow). you should get stuck like that. Now push A once to get a side view and A again to dismount epona in the air. Now you can control link in the air!!!!! make sure not to touch the ground or it will freeze and you'll have to restart! If you did it right, youi can fly aroundabove the water!! now very carefully float over to the scarecrow avoiding the tektites and ground and touch him.(the scarecrow) you should shoot up and over the wall!!!!!!! you can swim in the air!!! Its so WEIRD!!! if you swim too far out you'll die and if you swim in you can swim in the ground!!

Conor Wrote: Okay it's kind of dumb but here it is: Just go to Lon Lon Ranch and use something like a boomerang or slingshot and try to to throw or shoot it over the circular fence and it will just bounce off of it. This "glitch" is brought to you buy Conor. P.S. I did not get this from other sites and I'm sure it's been discovered before.

[email protected] Wrote: Hey, I went out and bought a Game Shark just for these Zelda codes. Actually I noticed some interesting things when using them. When you see the triforce in the courtyard, that's the triforce on link's hand. That's why it keeps moving to the left. Even go up to a wall so you have a close up of link, and turn him so you can see his left hand. You can see the right triforce part lit up. Sorry for the disappointment. And when you go to lake Hyla, then the Dodongo's Cavern, and end up in Goma's Lair, you can kill it. You lock onto her, even though you don't see the Z-targeting thing, And take out an arrow and hold it. If you wait until Goma goes on the ceiling and her eye turns red, shoot the arrow. Goma will fall to the floor. A few strikeswith your sword ( not as much when you're a kid because it's the master sword) and it dies. Then I was stuck for a few seconds, but after the blue transporter thing came up, I could move again. I went and got the extra heart container, then went in the blue light. But he got stuck at the top. I could move around, and use my shield. Then I took out my arrows and shot one. When I tried taking out my ocarina, I realized it had froze. Everything was still going, but I couldn't move. So ends my first day of Game Shark fun.

Kelli Vail Wrote: I found out how to get green mist! And, believe it or not, this is in the "fixed" games!!! You must be adult Link. Now,go to Karkariko Village and pass through the front gates. It should be raining. Now, turn around and go just past the front gates a little.Turn around, run back inside the village and then run back out. You would be in Hyrule Field, and there would be a green mist! Also, this is how you get blue mist at Zora's River. Keep in mind that you must do this trick quickly. it SHOULD work. And the best thing is,you don't have to use the ocarina!

Thunder|-|awk Wrote: think i submited this like a year ago, but if u want to use swordless link on the grey cart, just use the gameshark code for moonwalk, lift off when ur casting ur line in the fishing place in lake Hylia, and walk out the door like u would if u were doing the fisherman's peril trick. Of course, for the trick to really work, u have to hop on Epona for a sec. This code works for kid link too. Also, i don't know if any1's noticed yet, but if u press B while ur facing lake Hylia and u have the fishing pole, link will stand there and look like he is fishing.

Mario Malinowski Found: I sent this to you once, but didn't get an answer, so I'm trying again. This isn't the best thing ever, but it's good if you're down on hearts. Not as Swordless Link, Go up Death Mountian at night to the flagpole by the sign directing you to Goron City. Make sure that Navi is circling around the pole, a green color. (If not, get closer to it.) Play the Sun's Song. If this worked for you, then a fairy should be comiong out of the flagpole and replenishing your energy. Maybe this is connected to a fairy fountain, who knows?

[email protected] Wrote: Hi! I just want to say that this is the best Zelda site ever! I have two small glitches to tell you about. 1.) In case you didn't notice, there is another mysterious hole in the first room of the Spirit Temple, just like the one in King Darunia's room. I used "L for float" to float up both of them and there is nothing there. 2.) If you use a bombchu about twenty feet away from the gate inside Lon Lon Ranch were all the horses are, the bombchu will crawl up the fence and start to fly in the air! Enjoy!

Mrdean909 Wrote: I found a few things on the debug code (Video Gamer X code). First, I did the code during the end scene. First I found some code (Track, or stack, or staff, or something else.) I entered it into my gameshark and started it into the game (in Beta Quest). I saw the little yellow bar flashing in the corner of the screen! I tried to reenter the code but it flashed off. Any ideas? Also, I did the code during when the sages are "warping" and saw that one part was labeled "inexact operation" and a bit of game coding preceding it. What could that mean? Its a cinema! I did nothing! The game was somehow off the mark on this code (01001804H). There are 9 digits in it (DUH!). One of them is wrong (DUH again). If we remove the right one in a GS, something might happen.

Steve Ahern Found: ever wanna see the blue goddess who made the earth in the story told by the great deku tree up close well i found out how you can.First put in the beta quest code and the moonjump (press L) then start out in hyrule field turn right and fly over the river then go to kakariko village you start falling but start flying with moonjump towards the stuff you see ahead its kakariko village and its on fire when you are able to walk, walk or fly to the death mountain trail once you get in there you will start falling ignore that and fall. then you will reappear on death mountain trail able to walk on it you should see the blue fairy up by the top of death mountain fly up there or walk and there she is frozen there just spinning its like the triforce thing you can only see her and there isn't much to do but its cool to see.

Chibi Link Wrote: Hey VGX, me and my friend, who goes by the name Irvine Kinneas, love your site, and he has found a neat trick with the Deku stick. What you do is: Make sure you're Kid Link, and go to a cliff like the one near the stairs at Kakariko, or the cliff in the Kokiri forest by Mido's house, and the lost woods. Arm a deku stick. now, do a jump attack, and nail the tree or wall(if by the Kakariko stairs) or Mido's house (if in the kokiri forest). The Deku stick should look broken in half, but in your hands. now you can use it multiple tiems, and it won't break! It's like having Biggoron's sword as a kid! The catch is, you can't go in water, or draw your sword, If you do this, then you use yor Deku Sword. PLease give the credit to this glitch to Irvine Kinneas, his e-mail is "[email protected]" thanks for your time, VGX. this is Chibi Link, signing off.

[email protected] Discovered: After waking up Talon at the castle with the cucco, listen to him talk until he runs off. After that, do not go into the castle....instead, with the cucco equipped, go around the corner to the two guards and just as the guard blows the whistle take out the cucco. You should hear both go off...remember that you have to time it just right. After this is done Link and the guard will freeze and just be standing there looking at each other, but the funny thing is that rest of the game will continue on with its normal tasks. The Sun will continue to rotate, and the hearts will continue to beat, and the sounds....etc. The drawback.....you will have to reset the game to escape this one losing all prior data after the last save.

Zeikah Wrote: Title of Glitch: Breaking the Laws of Gravity Hello, my name is Zeikah. I have a glitch for you! There are two versions of this glitch. One can be found on another site, but mine can allow you to use it where ever a sign is. My Version: Find a sign, cut the top half off it. Now hold "Z" get and hold the slingshot (or the bow) button. Aim at the sign. Press the Ocarina buttonand you should have the dancing blue ball (or the arrow thru Link's head). Play Zelda's Lullabye. now watch as the top half is floating in midair. other site's version: (Note: I did not find this glitch) Go to the sign in gerudo's valley. cut it in half. cut the bottom half off and play Zelda's Lullabye. You should have the top half of the sign flying! I did NOT find the "other site's version" of this glitch. I own the version 1.1 so ths should work with 1.0s. cya!

Juno_3557 Wrote: Hey VGX, While messin' around with me and my friend's Zelda games (he has V1.1 and I have V1.2) we found something interesting. When you start out in Hyrule Field go toward Kakariko Village. Levitate (or moon jump whatever you want to call it) over the stream, make sure and don't use the bridge. Now, if the game doesn't lock up, you should wind up in Kakariko Village and see that the village is on fire. Now you are able to access the start menu, all the C buttons, and the B button (although I usually enable swordless link). Now, for the most part, you will always be able to access the start menu anywhere with a few exceptions. Now take about 7 or 8 steps forward once inside Kakariko Village then turn around. There Sheik is! He's just standing there, lost some of his height don't you think? You can walk right through him all you want. This next code is for a few strange things that happen. We put on all the regular weapon and quest status codes with Gameshark Pro as well as Swordless Link and awhile ago used Beta Quest. Then we turned off the system because of another stupid lockup. (Don't you hate that!) We then turned off Beta Quest and L for Levitate. We then turned on all the other codes including Cutscene Modifier. We warped to the Temple of Time and did the weirdest thing. We played the Song of Time in front of the platform just like you'd normally do, but while the spiritual stones were circling around kid Link's head, we pressed L for a Cutscene (this is all on V1.1) and it started the whole cutscene thing. Then the Spiritual Stones rested on the platform in their proper places, but then the Zora's Sapphire and the Kokiri Emerald zoomed in together with the Goron's Ruby. The Triforce above the Door of Time glowed, then the camera zoomed out (just like normal) but then the music that plays when you play it through regularly played but the Door of Time wouldn't open! Now look at the Spiritual Stones, look a little strange huh? Anyway those are a couple of glitches on top of your already towering pile of them. Well I hoped you like them.

[email protected] Found: Ok, this is a minor glitch, and is pretty pointless, but it's worth mentioning, I suppose. My brother was goofing around with the sign right at the exit/entrance to Kokiri Forest (You know, the one the guy blocks before you beat the Deku Tree?) Well, he cut the actual sign part off so it was just a peg standing there and shot it with his bow, and the arrows bounced. Here's how you do it: 1) Cut off the sign so it's a peg just sitting there. 2) Fire arrows at the peg (You have to be adult link, cuz you can't use arrows as a kid, duh!) 3) Every now and then you'll see an arrow near the edges of the screen. It doesn't always work, so be patient if you really want to try it. If you hit start and then get out of start before you fire the arrow, (only one, now) it will bounce automatically. This hasn't been tried with anything else yet, but it kinda makes you wonder why it always works, but only one, after you get out of the start screen.

[email protected] Found: This will allow you to get out of the chamber of sages/ exit Beta Quest.

First I have Version 1.0 of Zelda
You need the:
Beta Quest
Exit Modifier
Appear in strange places
And I had the Moon Jump on just for the hell of it!

When you start out go to Kokori Forest, when the screen fades hold "R" You should end up in the Chamber of Sages, now play the Serenade of Water and hold "R" as the fades out. You should reappear in the chamber of sages. But you should have item screens now. Your out of the Beta Quest. You will have 2 eggs, all the medallions, but no Spiritual Stones (those are at the temple of time)

Now play a teleport song (I know the Shadow Temple song works) DO NOT hold "R" Now your out of the Chamber of Sages. You'll end up at the graveyard if you played that song...leave hold "R" you'll end up in kid Links back Alley of Hyrule Market. I found something cool...if you play any teleport song holding "R" as the screen fades you'll end up in a Green back alley.

You can see Saria's Sage cinematic if you go to the Ganon's Castle fire pit area, then leave holding "R."

A few things you can't do go in the door of time or the Forest meadow where you meet Saria cause it freezes.

Barbara L. Carrow Found: I found a small glitch in zelda that allows you to see whats underground. Here's what to do stand next to a hole leading to a grotto, and draw your sword stand right at the edge of the hole and do a jump attack into it when you fall in the camera will follow you as you fall into the grotto so you can see whats underground. It will usually show the sky pantern if theres no under ground tunnels or secrets, but for example if you do it in kakariko village you can see the tunnel under the well you can also see under hyrule castle with it if you can't do the wet castle trick.

[email protected] Found: I am not lying, this is the real thing. I was just playing around with the beta quest amd messing with code combinations. Well here it goes, I have version 1.1 so i dont know if it works on other versions.

1.0 Process-See Nayru you have to have the beta quest code on and the cutscene maker appear in strange places

You start out at night in the beta quest, go to Gerudo Valley. When you get there it should be all foggypress the "L" button to make the cut scene, you will see the godesses creating Hyrule. After the cut-scene you should appear on death mountain trailgo high enough up the trail and press C-Up and you will see Nayru flying above the mountain (but she is not moving).

Version 1.1 process-See Farore You need the beta quest Moon jump Appear in strange places

You start out in the beta quest at night. Go to the Kokiri Forrest wich would usually take you to some cave. ok so when you get there you hear the chamber of sages music and you are falling OUTSIDE of the Kokkiri Forrest. Moon jump over to the forrest but the weird thing is is that everyone is missing, I didnt find anyone, but go to where the Great Deku Tree and he HAS HIS COLOR, remember when he dies how he loses his color, and right in front of him is FARORE

Well there you go, i dont expect this to go on the Gameshark Blowout 2000 but I am hoping you will put this on your site. I am still working on finding Din but until then, see ya.

Spider Wanted to Add: Hi! I'm Spider the webmaster for www.expage.com/topzelda and I found out this glitch:

When you go to the Forest Temple, walk backwards to the 1st door you see, you know, the entrance one & hold Z. Strangely, the door should become invisible and the wolves will freeze. Please put this on your site and pay credit to Spider. My brother, L.JAM, found out this REALLY cool one:
1st, do TDog's 'crooked cartridge' trick(real useful, isn't it?) to get out of the forest without a sword.etc. Get into Hyrule Town and when you first come in, go inside the first house you see (the one with loads of rupees inside) Roll into the crate with the skulltula in it. When the skulltula is still in the corner, grab a pot & chuck it EXACTLY on the skulltula's head. It should be destroyed without a slingshot.

sjsfreeze Found: Here's a glitch I found when I was hunting for glitches. Go to Gerudo valley as an adult. Dive off of the bridge and head downstream. At the last waterfall, go over it and put on the iron boots. Head behind the waterfall and stand on the small piece of land against the wall. If your angle's right, Link will be underwater even though he's above water. If you turn again, the water will disappear and bubbles will be coming from his mouth.

[email protected] Wants to Bring to Everyone's Attention: Alright this may have already been said but here it go's. Everyone knows that Zelda will freeze all the time while using codes and this is because the code generator is on. Well it has to be on or does it? No it does not just pop out the 4MB xpansion pack and the code generator is not an option thus it doesnt have to be on and the game will rarely ever freeze.

Stephen Adds: tonight while playing Zelda I found something weird. the little corner you use to get behind the castle as a child is there as an adult. if you climb it to the top as an adult you just fall for a while and then start where you last entered the area. but that's not what's odd. if you look at the bottom of the corner there is a face with what looks like a Greek soldiers helmet on, if you look directly above that face and add some colors together you'll see a face kinda like raurus. if you look above that something that lookslike an owl type face. if you look a little above that you see something that looks just like an owl. now it has been stated that link is related to rauru or some anciant sage of long ago. now i think these images tell a story. i dont think however that raru is the owl. the face looks simalar to raru. i think links father or one of his ancestors was a great warrior who was related (probably brothers) to rauru. as he aged he became a sage to help to help protect the triforce. now some people say sages dont marry and have relationships, but how would they have descendants. i think that all the sages were killed except for rarau, so the sage who i think link descended from wanted to protect and help his descendants so he became an owl. i think that one of the sages betrayed the rest, probably the desert sage and because of it killed them all but one. and so the warrior sage is links father grandfather or some one up there and was killed and became an owl to protect his descendants from the same fate. i also dont know if this is on your page but did you know that if you turn your clay ocarina into a bottle it will become the ocarina of time while you learn a song but that will be the only time you can use any ocarina and will not be able to complete the game.

[email protected] Reminds: On your website on the debug code page where the people did it in a movie, and they got a screen that said unentered value (or something like that), and one that has the hidden message "I LOVE YOU". then it has it in Ram. Maybe if you could put in the I LOVE YOU message in ram under the Unentered data or made it into a gameshark code than something might happen

[email protected] Adds: I was reading the crap code for the millionth time, it seems it says A symbol over and over and then Ateteta or something, Is this a name??? Yes, it seems weird but hey, anythings a possibility Ateteta, Ateteta, that sounds familiar, I just cant put my finger on it... Lets see, GOD!!! ATETETA! WHAT IS THAT NAME? wait, maybe it isn't a name makes me really think. Maybe it could be the name of the blue fairy??? Maybe an early name for Navi? I don't know but it strikes be like no other clue does before, Zelda 64 holds many clues to every inch of that cart in my 64. And maybe even the Beta Quest. Well I'll make a list of things that could possibly be done with Ateteta tomorrow. Bye!

[email protected] Wants to Say: Yo vgx! For the weekend, i let my friend borrow my majoras mask game. since i couldnt play it, i decided to play the old Oot game. Also, i did the cartridge lift trick thing. Anyway, when i got passed mido(i only used a shield so that i could get the slingshot) i got the slingshot, went out to hyrule field and burned my sheild, then i went to see zelda, and i said that i had the stone, even though i didnt. Also, i went back to kokiri, and everybody started saying what they would as if i left the forest, but they were still doing every thing they were doing at the start of the game! For example,The dude was still garding the exit, but he said "you're ok? you didnt really leave the forest, did you?" saria was still in front of my house, even though everybody said that "she was at the usual place," the sacred forest. The other 2 guys were still struggling to pick up the rocks and cut the grass, but they turned and always faced you, struggling or cutting at nothing! Then i got all 3 spiritual stones, and when i faced ganandorf, i pulled out the kokiri sword, even though it was still in the chest in the kokiri forest! Also, when you pull out the master sword, a japanese letter appears where the yellow diamond is, and when the light medallion is still high in the air, link decides to make a little dance by spinning around before gettin the medallion! Awsome sight, man! Please post this on it!

Ash999Lee Says: I found an interesting bomb glitch while playing the spirit temple. I was in a room with many holes in the floor, many snake things, and 2 beamos. I targeted the beamos, and accidentally set a bomb down, since I wasn't moving. I picked it up quickly, ran forward, and threw it. It fell into a hole in the floor. I stood there a second, and suddenly, the air beside me, where I had set the bomb down before, exploded, and I was hurt, A second later, I heard another explosion inside the hole! I tried this again without a hole, and it didn't work. I tried it again using a hole in the floor, and it worked. This is a mysterious glitch.
