I myself do extensive research in gaming to keep up to date on the latest news. This section is designed to answer some questions about Majora's Mask and current events in gaming in general. Feel Free to ask me a question. I don't guarantee that your question will appear on the site because I get so many every day, and some are often times the same thing. Be careful what you ask, I might just make up a really funny answer. Thank you for listening, Video Gamer X! I finally got the second Zelda and am having a ton of fun so far. Here's the deal. I beat Woodfall and am now at Snowhead. I also have the Deku, Goron, Breman, Don Gora's, Great Fairy's, Bunny Hood, Mask of Scents masks. What item, and where, melts the ice over the doors of Snowhead(I know Hot Spring Water does, but cannot seem to find it in the temple). Also, how do you get Epona? It seems that the game cannot go on without her. I've heard rumors of the Romani Mask, but I don't know any aliens to save Romani from. Also, can you get into Romani Ranch before the final day? How do you get the Keaton Mask? Finally, on your site, you said to follow the notebook event in order to get masks. How do you do that? Thanks for your time. Sorry there's so many questions, but I'm kinda stuck. Thanks again! Video Gamer X Says: You must use the Fire Arrows in Snowhead to Melt the Ice Blocking the doorways. You will obtain them from a battle with a Wizzrobe. I explain this in a response below. You will have set up the steps to get Epona after you defeat Ghot, the boss of Snowhead. When spring returns to the Goron Village, go back and you will find a cave that had previously been iced over. There you will find a Biggoron, and he will discuss with you getting certified to use a powder keg. Carry the Powder Keg over to the area where the baby Goron is crying, not where he was before, but the big boulder that blocks the entrance to the Goron Races near the entrance to the Whole Goron area just after exciting the Mountain Village. You will have to toss the powder keg up consecutive ramps until you are in front of the boulder, when it blows you will access the area leading to the Goron Races and you will become Powder Keg Certified (pretty corny if you ask me) and you can carry Powder Kegs. You can now buy Powder Keg's from the Goron in the Bomb Shop in ClockTown. Take a Powder Keg to that big boulder that is blocking the path to Romani Ranch on Day 1, and blow it up. You can now enter Romani Ranch and talk to Romani, if you help her she will teach you Epona's song. If you pop all the balloons in 2 minutes you earn the Epona. You will have to follow the steps outlined in the Bomber's notebook obtained in ClockTown when you challenge the Bombers Gang to Hide and Seek in your Link Form. Many masks will be obtained this way. Nick Gilbert Asks: 1. If you get a heart piece from the future, why isnt it there in the past? 2. What is the point of having the stupid ice arrows anyway? There isnt a place in the game where they actually do anything nescesary, and they're kinda hard to get. 3. Where does the fairy orcarina go after you get the orcarina of time. Does it vanish? 4. Why is it that a deku stick, a piece of dull wood, can do more damage than a sharpened steel sword? 5. Why cant you just run your sword through ganon after you beat him the 1st time? hes lying right there on the ground next to where you start to run down the tower. 6. Why is it that when you take the iron boots out of your pocket and put them on your feet you sink? 7. Why dont the released gorons show up in goron city after you free them but dont beat the fire temple? 8. How can a sheild that weighs 25 pounds stop a 2 ton boulder spewn out of a volcano from crushing you? 9. How can you change tunics, boots, and equipment in mid-air? 10. Where does Link put his 25+ items? Video Gamer X Says: 1. The Taking of the Heart Piece in the future causes a paradox of anti-time and an infinite causality loop resulting in a total collapse of the known laws of physics and a nullification of the Big Bang. Gotta read those comics to find the answers to these tough questions. [email protected] Asks: In the N64 game; Zelda, Majora's mask- where do you find the fire arrows? Video Gamer X Says: The Fire Arrows are obtained in the Snowhead Area after obtaining the Goron Mask. On The Second Floor you will have to defeat a goofy looking Wizrobe that teleports between 4 stones. Use your arrows, and when he creates phantoms of himself, pay attention to the one that is spinning around in a circle and be quick about hitting him with an arrow or you will be blasted with a cold rush. After he's defeated you will get the Fire Arrows that will allow you to complete snowhead as well as unfreeze many areas that had been frozen with blue ice previously. If you are running low on time, just play the song of time and you will be taken back to the first day, but once you get back to Snowhead, getting right back to where you were will be very simple now that you have the Fire Arrows. Christine Asks: I have Zelda : Majora's Mask. I am confused as to which end to enter the Deku palace and how to shoot the Octopus Sucker things which are in the doorway. I have tried to use the bubble blasts and the Deku Nuts but they don't seem to work. Please help. Video Gamer X Says: In the swamp, First you must meet go to Kotake by hopping accross the lilly pads as Deku Link to the left from the Tourist Info Center, when you get the Red Potion from Kotake, go behind Kotake's potion shop to the Lost Woods. Follow the monkey to Koume, give her the Red Potion, and she will leave you with a bottle. Then return to the Tourist Info Booth, and ask for a free boat ride from Koume at the window. While you are on the boat you will float over to that area where the Giant Octorock is. The boat will impale it and it will die. You know have access to the Deku Palace and to the path that leads to Woodfall Temple. John Balcom Asks: When Will Majora's Mask be released in the United States? Barb Asks: hi, I don't know if you are still answering questions about Zelda Ocarina of time. I am stuck. I have completed the water temple. I have the lens of truth, biggoron's sword and din's fire. When I try to get into the shadow temple using din's fire as it says to in all the guides, cheats and hints I have found, it doesn't work. I have tried it both adult and child with all the swords. I have tried lighting one torch with a fire arrow and then using din's fire. Nothing. Please help, we are desperate. Video Gamer X Says: Hmm... well, as far as I remember, the only thing you have to do is stand on the pedistal and use Din's Fire and all the torches will be lit simultaneously. If you notice there is a faint impression fo the Fire Medallion in the pedistal in the center of the torches and the runic writing. This is a clue to use Din's Fire. [email protected] Asks: Im woundering when gamecube comes out will they still make N-64 games cuz n-64 doesnt have as many games as the other game systems? Video Gamer X Says: There still are some good N64 Games coming up worth checking out besides just Majora's Mask. I would recommend if you're an older gamer, you might go for Conker's Bad Fur day, the adventure of a comically offensive (Ex: Tom Green) squirrel who bring the kind of comedy present in South Park (The Show, not the Game) to the N64. I would also consider MegaMan 64, The World is Not Enough, and Banjo Tooie to be worth getting. Beyond that, there's really not much to choose from. Video Gamer X Says: Well, In Ocarina of Time, you can simply use Video Gamer X's code to find out the date your game was made or, if you can't do the Normal Swordless Link Trick, then you don't have Version 1.0. If Ganon's Blood is Green then you have version 1.2 or higher. So if you can't do swordless Link, and Ganon's blood is red, then you have version 1.1. Got it!? Good. Video Gamer X Says: Actually the timeframe is 3 game days that pass rather quickly, but the thing of this game is, that you can travel back in time with the Song of Time to the very first day. You loose all your rupees, but you get to keep all the masks and equipment you've obtained. It's very interesting because you get to follow the daily lives of many of the characters. Final Fantasy IX, and Zelda: Majora's Mask are both very worthy games. It's all up to taste I suppose. Final Fantasy IX is cheaper than Majora's Mask, so if you don't have enough for Majora's Mask then I would say go with Final Fantasy, but if you want probably the last greatest N64 game, then go with Majora's Mask. It's entirely up to you and personal preferance though. I myself will be getting both. [email protected] Asks: does the game cube play the 64 games too by any chance? Video Gamer X Says: No it doesn't. The Game Cube is a Hybrid DVD Media format console system. N64 Games are on cartridges. That's one edge that Sony Playstation 2 has over Nintendo GameCube, and that's backward compatability. I can play my old Playstation games on my PSX2 and even improve the graphics.
