![]() VIDEO GAMER X AND THE ODYSSEY OF HYRULE IN 2001 I can't believe it. On April 4th, the Odyssey of Hyrule will turn 3 years old! That's ancient in internet time, when so many sites have come and gone during this period. I've created this massive Zelda experience on the internet and I plan to continue the Tradition as well as expand the territory of Video Gamer X's sites online. 2001 will be an exciting year for gamers, and for my sites. As it were, there are a lot of aspects of the Odyssey of Hyrule that I want to expand, primarily this year I hope to add more material relating to the early Zelda Games for the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and GameBoy including walkthroughs and discussions related to these games and a description of the storyline and the relationship and similarity between Zelda Games as a whole. I hope to add further installments of the wacky but popular Something to Laught At series. You should soon see an update to the Fan Art gallery as well featuring much of the new Fan Art I've received over the past year. As the release of GameCube nears, expect full reports from the gaming industry related to this monumental Nintendo release. Once new information related to Zelda GameCube comes, you can bet I will be on top of anything I feel worthy of mention to fans of this site. I personally can't wait to see what Miyamoto has cooked up for a console as powerful as the GameCube. If you haven't seen it yet, you might want to take a visit to The Oddity of Hyrule, my Majora's Mask only sister site to "The Odyssey of Hyrule." This site contains a great deal of information relating to Zelda: Majora's Mask including gameplay assistance and discussions related to the game. Be sure not to miss the opportunity to visit this site. As of January 1st, I've relaunched a very old site I made and then stopped working on a few years ago called the Millennium Crossroads of the Mind's Eye, a site devoted to more serious issues facing our society today, topics like: Science and Technology, Social Change, Politics, Religion, The Environment, Anthropology, Mathematics, The Paranormal, UFO's, Ghosts, Psychic Phenomena, etc. The Millennium Crossroads is intended to be my most reader enlightening body of work online. I really want to work on this one predominantly in the coming months because it's probably the most fun to write for being that I can go beyond the boundaries of just talking about games. One thing that amazes me sometimes is how many people aren't aware of my other sites that have been online for quite some time. If you are a Final Fantasy fan I've been covering this game since 1997 with my first gaming site, The Epic of Final Fantasy VII. I no longer update that old site, but since that time I've produced, Final Fantasy VIII: The Adventure Continues and most recently, Final Fantasy IX: In Tribute of the Epic Squaresoft Legacy, all of these sites are devoted to everything related to Final Fantasy and more. It almost seems that few people find my non-Zelda sites, but I would appreciate commentary related to Final Fantasy IX, as well as sharing your Memories of The First Time you played Final Fantasy on the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, or Playstation. Furthermore, I've kept a Litarary and The Arts site online for well over a year now entitled, Unlimited Fantasy: These Realms Drift Between Me, which features my novel, Khakain: The Coming of the Chosen One and stories and poetry by authors. Most recently, I have established the Open Editors Program for a group of internet friends and acquainences that I have known for quite some time, many of whom have become respectable members of my message board community and hold the position of Moderator there. You may start seeing editorials and gameplay assistance provided in part by people and names like, Maxwell2020, Roland, Dhsu, Reitz, Xythar, Cyclinbear, Dunkinbean, Morpha, and Castle Guard will be supplying a new installment of "Who Want's to Obtain the Triforce Round 2" These assistant editors will continue to add to everything that has made these sites great and keep the information new and exciting. Thanks goes out to the support of those who have contributed to the Odyssey of Hyrule Experience and to all my sites. I'm hoping to add Video Gamer X The Store to my sites this year where you will be able to buy original synthesized CD's containing Fantasy music and New Age music inspired by my experiences with Video Games, created by the band I'm part of. This is a Top Secret Project that fans of my sites will probably enjoy. Video Gamer X The Store will eventually feature other items as well, perhaps someday, the proceeds from my online store will eventually go to actualizing my vision of having a real store for people like me, and in my age group. There just aren't the kind of stores around that I feel represent a place where I feel like it's fun to shop there and buy stuff. Someday, instead of having to mull around in a boring Wal-Mart with your grandma you can go to an Extreme store where there are "Kick Ass Sales" and an indoor halfpipe to test skateboards, blades, and bikes. I'm a pretty broke person right now, so I kind of laugh at the probability of my idea coming to fruition, but if I can get some cooperation from visitors and fans by buying stuff I'm selling, I can make the kind of experience young people (13 - 30) will someday come to thank me for. And damn if I will make my employees wear those stupid uniforms. I will have the "rebel store," in the same way that M-TV rebelled against the same old way of making television. But, anyway you get the idea for what Video Gamer X The Store will become in the short term, a place where I will sell stuff. So as you can see 2001 will be an interesting year for gamers, and fans of Video Gamer X's websites. ![]() Back to the Odyssey of Hyrule |
