about starting an international search for THE ONE. There is also a
mentioning of the moon crashing into the world. I have preordered the game
already. I preordered it at funcoland and it did not cost anything. By the
way the game is $59.99 there. Sorry for taking up so much of your time. You
have a great site. Keep it going. thanks

Upon reading your article about nintendo's websites, I have started to wonder. See I have been an avid nintendo fan since I was a little-un. Playing in my spare time when social and school life permitted it. For about the last two years have started to wonder when nintendo will catch up to Sony. Approaching 17, I am no longer interested in games of cartoon like characters, blowing up a city in a tank, or rushing 75 yards for a touchdown. The only thing left in this realm of a gaming world is to take on an alternate personality, concur new worlds, and win the love and compassion of a fellow adventurer. What nintendo truly lacks is an older based audience. This is exactly what Sony has that will make them the gaming company of the future. We are the original generation of gamers, when nintendo was released in the 80's it was us playing. And now that we are older we require something new to quench our thirst for games. When we are loyal to a company, nintendo in mind, we will follow them until the end. Though when what we follow lacks what we want, the true gamer will go where he or she can get it. Playstation offers this with their "Unlimited Fantasy" gaming experience, visualizing massive environments rendered to look realistic but with a hint of fiction. Nintendo could accomplish this with game cube and Zelda, those screen shots that were displayed could, along with their new intriguing web sites, be centered toward Nintendo's future of the more experienced and age wise gamer. The only thing we can do is wait and hope for nintendo to save itself for depleting into a child's toy of Iggy, and his cartoon lackeys.

have every one of them bookmarked. I visit them at least 3 times a day
looking for new info regarding the games.
Knowing that one of Nintendo's major audience consists of children under
the age of 12, Z-Science.com really surprised me.
If you look closley, you'll see everything on the website is related to
Majora's Mask. That is, it is obvious to people who have a large enough
vocabulary. Everything word on the website has some hidden relation to
Majora's Mask or to Nintendo. I have figured out most of the stuff, and I'm
impressed with it so far. I am also excited about the story of the game, but
I am still confused by Nintendo's logic. Most people (myself included) would have to
stare at the words and read between the lines before realizing what it really
meant.
I tried to e-mail the adress that is on the site ([email protected]) a
couple of times, but it was rebounded to me. Apparantly the adress doesn't
exist. In any case, Majora's Mask looks pretty cool. I'm looking foward to
the day it comes out.

Evan Port Explains: I got a 96.8% chance of being "The One" (Link obviously) weird huh? I did it
with both index fingers 3 times. I got a 96.8% everytime. The highest my
other 5 friends got was 17.3%. Maybe you should get other people who visit
your website to take the test. See if anyone got a higher score than me.
Then post some on a page. See ya later.
Evan Port 96.8% chance of being Link hah!
P.S. maybe me and the motion capture person they hired have close DNA or
have the same features..skeletal structure and such.
I am 13. So it may be possible the person who did motion captures for Link
has the same features as me. Either that or this is just random. If it was
random, why would the same percent come up each time me and my friends tried
it? Hmmmm...
Erica Adds: I think that it's a bit odd that Nintendo would make a site like that. What's
the point? Most people wouldn't even understand what they're talking about
with the "interdimensional rift" and the "parallel moon" colliding with the
"parallel Earth" unless someone pointed it out. Many people probably wouldn't
even bother reading it because the information that makes some significance
in the article is at the end! And where do you think they got that idea for
the crop circle logo? Maybe your site?
Mad Mordigan Says: that's really cool that someone at Nintendo did that. have you noticed any clues for something to do in the game? it seems like they keep hinting at something, but, maybe not. anyway, i noticed a Dr. Takashi Norogaroz, who's last name is backwards for Zora Goron. i can't figure out his first name. and also a Dr. Mouke Takeko, which i think are Koume and Kotake. at www.z-science.com, they have a page called sponsorship that lists Nintendo of America as a sponsor. hehe. and, in case you want to contact them, they have an "about" page that says "Contact JRAMOA by sending email to:
[email protected]"
all i could find :)
[email protected] Comments: It's come to be my belief that nintendo is just projecting the storyline of Majora's Mask as if it were happening to us. If you remember, you've probably
heard that a similar event occured when a national radio station presented
the story War of The Worlds over the radio in the same manor. Of course it
caused national panic. It would be fun to see what would happen if
www.z-science.com was just given to a bunch of people and they read it without
knowing that it was the storyline of a video game, twisted to fit our modern
perception.
Morgan Walker Wrote: VGX, is it just me or does everything surrounding Majora's Mask so wierd?! Z-science.com is like the perfect site for this game. Everything on the site is freakin wierd. I think that the developers have been inside a little to long. But, who says that is a bad thing? How cool is that finger print analysis thing?! This game has got to be good if Nintendo is spending so much time on a site with such great design. I have a couple questions i would like to ask you. First off: Why does Link have the Ocarina of time With him in the beggining of the game. Stalkid steals it, but didn't link give the ocarina back to Zelda? Also I want to give you a little bit to think about. Most Likely Termina is a Dreamworld, because of the apparent connection with Hyrule. but... who says that Termina is the Dreamworld? Maybe Hyrule is the Dreamworld and Termina is the real world...just a little bit of something to get under your skin. email me back with your thoughts at [email protected].
P.S. I am going to spend a lot of time at z-science.com to see what i can discover. I will email you if i find anything.

Unfortunately, neither of the two possibilitys (for the first binary
code) results in an ASCII (text) code.
It is possible this is random jibberish, data for an alternate code
(which could explain the strange spacing, which is not normal for binary code)
Also, if what you displayed on your page is only partial, then it is
corupted and I can not decipher the code.
I do believe something is in here, but what was shown on your page seems
corupted. For ASCII to work, you need 7 or 8 bits the code must be
between 00100000 (32) and 01111111 (127). 00000000 (0) to 00010000 (31)
are control codes such as the return key 00001101 (13). 01111111 (127)
is actualy the delete key, so it's not used in text. If you have 8 bits,
anything with the 8th bit as 1, such as 10000000 (128) to 11111111 (255)
are reserved by each type of computer. Many use them to display special
characters such as * and . They are rarely used as well. The code was
full of "out of range" ASCII code, or stuff that isn't text, numbers, or
punctuation. No patterns within text appeared either.
Regardless, what was displayed on your page unfortanately results in
nothing of importance. More code (if it was cut off) or more time to try
shifts could result in an answer, but for now I think there is nothing I
can decipher, or at least have time to decipher. Sorry.
Addison DiFresco Comments: I think that this site will greatly tie in with the next Zelda game. I think that we know so little about what's really going on in Majora's Mask. Maybe this site will tie in with the storyline of the game and a character will
make reference to it. I do strongly agree with you about how hard this site
would be for little kid's to decipher. It seems to me that Nintendo has taken
a wrong step this time.
Nathaniel Gustafson Adds: Odd... None of JRAMOA's contacts seem to refer to JRAMOA at all. I did find
a reference from Nintendodojo, I believe. And do you think the reference to
non-grainy lasers pertains to the higher texture quality and more polygons
being processed? Interesting...
Tommy Diablo Insightfully Puts In: It is my belief that Nintendo is continuing their effort to shed their "kiddy" image. With games such as Perfect
Dark and Conker's Bad Fur Day, they are appealing to an older audience. It would seem that Z-Science and
Radio Zelda are an attempt to pull older gamers back into Nintendo's market.
These sites are clearly not intended for younger players who, more than likely, haven't even taken an
introductory physics course. Although, the anagrams to suggest that the sites are not targeted at physics
majors. Many of the puzzles at the sites are fairly simple and reading between the lines will reveal that the
physics jargon could very well me much ado about nothing. As I read through the articles, it became clear that
there may be many "red herrings" contained within.
I believe that NoA, in an attempt to build hype for the new game, has put little tidbits in that mean nothing so
that consumers will go crazy trying to figure every little thing out. Hence, the easy puzzles set out which may
serve to lead us to believe that everything at the site is significant.
Perhaps the naming of the game is no mere accident. It would seem that most people are abbreviating it Zelda:
MM, which could translate to Zelda 2000 (Z2K). I am sure most remember the ad campaign from M&M
informing the layperson that the Roman numeral for two thousand is MM. So I would view the anagrams as
bait for hype. The whole cryptic nature of the site is engineered to build our interest in the product.
Nintendo is trying to build a link between the game and "real life". The more cryptic the ad campaign, the more
likely consumers are to talk about it, building hype that way. I think it is a great campaign and I really like the
use of physics jargon. I have not thoroughly read the articles, just brushed through them to pick up the basic
points. I am sure that reading deeper may provide a bit more insight into the forthcoming release. I got so
wrapped up in the hype, that I even found myself putting my finger up to my monitor for the DNA scan. Guess
I've been hooked.
Kaelyn Ambyr Adds: Hiya I checked out that site. It's just a phony with a bunch of crazy codes
on it! I went to the analyzer thingie. Your supposed to put your thumb on it.
I didn't both times that I tested it. no thumb on the button but it got
different probabilities. It's just a dumb computer program that shows
different data randomly! And I think that the Binary codes that you found are
just put their to freak the idiots out thinking that they stumbled into Area
51's private log or something. The site is to just have fun....DEFINATLY Just
for laughs! Well,...See ya around!
Chris Parnell Explains: Before I start I'd just like to say that a year ago, when my 12 year old
brother got his N64, he was deciding what game to buy first. With little
respect for the N64 my loyalties in psx, i started to pressure him into
purchasing goldeneye, a game which i had played and enjoyed. Instead he
opted for a game not many in New Zealand had heard of: Zelda, Ocarina of
Time. I scoffed at this game and proceeded to carry on my own way, but
while sussing out the game and watching him play it, I happened on solving a
puzzle in the great deku tree that he was stuck on. As I watchef further I
was drawn into this wonderful game with its immense plot and perfect
graphics, and Nintendo earned my respect, along my Miyamoto my admiration.
After stumbling on your site, i also embarked upon the search for the
tri-force, with only one lead and no true way to follow it up. Now with the
release of Zelda MM by brother is about to purchase it and once again i will
be able to use my honed puzzle skills. Now back on subject this z-science
site is wierd all right, but have a look at the news. It says that they
have discovered the one, a 17 year old guy, who is being trained to save
Termina (BTW In latin terminus means end, or death) with his input into
terminus being a N64 console and majoras mask cartridge. There they just
gave away the whole site so it cant really be as sinister as it seems right?
wrong. The other text is tooo wierd and worse still, I know of someone who
is cracking the binary code. This is taking a while because each line is
base on the previous one, making it very hard. That is what they claim i
have no proof but it appears to be a message like a premonition.
Thanx for the time, great sites keep it up
[email protected] Says: Hi, I'll spare you the, "OH my gosh your site is the best in the world"
because quite frankly, YOU KNOW it is.
The Z-science site kind of makes me sick. These people know that alot of
their fans are totally obsessed with Zelda, hey, it's a great game. They KNOW
how into it their fans get, they KNOW how quite a few of us are a little
eccentric when it comes to our beloved Zelda, they keep watch of the hype on
the net, and what consumers are saying.I bet they keep track of what people
are saying about the rumours that they, the Creators of Zelda stirred up
themselves. Alot of the fans want so badly for Zelda to be real, for a chance
to really be Link, that I can see them staring at the screen, reading the
information about the discovery of a parallel dimension, eyes as big as
saucers. Can't you see alot of them, whispering excitedly, "It's real.. I
knew it, I knew it all along.." And can't you just picture these people
pressing their thumb against the monitor twenty times, for the "DNA test,"
hoping they're the one? I don't know what was up with that girl, that got
96.8% every time, I did it 3 times (without my THUMB against the darn glass
thank you very much) and got 3 different numbers. Maybe it didn't work
because I didn't press my thumb against the processing device.. :p
Anyway, the site is cute in it's own way, pretending to be real, and all
the names flipped around, and I think there might be something to the other
"current projects" they're working on. And maybe they randomly pick some
people that do the testing thingy-mabobber to be on the site, leaving a phone
number and such, maybe get a free n64 or something. But they should at least
write somewhere on the site, "MAJORA IS A GAME, FOLKS," cuz even some of the
people that responded to this are getting sucked in.."maybe me and the motion
capture person they hired have close DNA or have the same features..skeletal
structure and such," and that's just not right.
However, I think there is something to the site. Zelda's creators are
really getting wrapped up in it, I think. And I still think the triforce is
somewhere in Zelda! :-D
Or not. Minaymoto (or however you spell his name) either loves encrypting
things into his masterpieces, or loves toying with people's minds. I hope
it's the former. Thanks Video Gamer x
Emily Tate Wants to Add: Ok. I checked this site out. It is VERY weird. I get very wrapped up and
WANT to believe it's real. But, and this is to everyone, keep your level of
sanity. On another note, that kid (I think his name was Evan Port) thinks
he's sooooo great becuase he got 96.2 compatibility. Guess what, even though
I know it is actually impossible to complete a DNA test, as the fingerprint
"scan" is always the same, I got a score of 99.6! Beat that! People need to
keep the cold hard reality that Zelda, however ral it may sound, is only a
collection of pixels and sound bites. Its actually kind of depressing to
write this letter, as I feel happier when Zelda is more realistic in my
heart. So now I'm either going to cry or do my literature homework (and I
don't think it's the latter.) Bye.
Luke S. Wrote: After reading your article about the z-science site and the article regarding
the Gamecube, one question seems to circulate again and again through my
mind. Where the heck is Nintendo going with the Zelda franchise?
It is of course obvious that Zelda and Final Fantasy are the two premier RPG
rivals between Sony and Nintendo, but what really gets me is how much father
along Final Fantasy is than Zelda, in more ways than one. I personally
prefer Zelda, and it's storylines captivate me like no other game's can. But
Final Fantasy has continually been designed for a superior system, which
always throws Zelda in as the underdog. In addition, it seems as though a
new installment is released every year, keeping gamers hooked. It takes
Nintendo twice as long to release their Zelda games, which, I must
regretfully admit, do not have the realistic appeal that the Sony games do.
Partially in graphics, but also in the severity of the topics dealt with in
the plot of the game. Now that Nintendo has finally made it's ascension to
the world of disc data storage, it gives the impression that Zelda is on the
same track as Final Fantasy. I was indeed impressed with the screen shots
supplied from Nintendo's demo of the game cube, but what does that say, if
anything, about future Zelda storylines, and topic realism?
At the same time that Nintendo previews the Gamecube, they release a game
like Majora's Mask, which I am fairly pleased with, but at the same time,
dissapointed that Zelda does not play a major role in the plot of the game.
This is the same for Ganandorf, Hyrule, and the Triforce. After all, the
series IS named Zelda, yet Nintendo has continued in it's notorious tendency
to create stray sequel games. Majora's Mask has a feel somewhat similar to
Link's Awakening, as far as it's detachment from the primary conflict of the
series-- Ganandorf. Majora's Mask is also obviously targeted for the younger
group of gamers. And, I feel I must reiterate what has been said multiple
times, that this sort of environment can not keep the interest of older
gamers.
I like to be as optomistic as the next guy, but if you really think about it,
does it seem that likely that Nintendo would make a jump from
cutesy-swordplay to fearful-blood-and-guts gaming through one installment? I
should say certainly not. If I were asked to place a guess on the next Zelda
installment, I would say that it will show the signs of a maturing
corporation, but still be acceptable for all crowds. All I can do is pray
that Miyamoto will be once again involved in the presumed Zelda 128.
Only time will tell what will become of Zelda, and the future of Nintendo,
but for now, I think it best to enjoy the newest chronicle of Link. Majora's
Mask.
All the hype most certainly cannot be a wasted expense.
