![]() THE TRIFORCE OF POWER: Pt. 1 By (No Name Given) It began....at the end. Or moderately after. He now resided as a young boy, by himself spending his nights on the brick walls of Hyrule Field, where the monsters couldn't reach him. But when they came close, he would swipe at them and take the rupees they left behind to buy some food potion at the medicine shop, and some water from Lake Hylia to wash it all down later. Sometimes he would talk to Princess Ruto who would come out of the Zora's Domain shortcut, but all she was ever interested in was the supposed marriage they were supposed to have in seven years and how her fat king father always tell he not to go by Jabu-Jabu again. plus she reminded him of the past, or technically, the future. He never wanted to remember until he had to. He just wanted to live his life just like anyone else. Yet, also he had his wishes, just as everyone else. He could hardly even remember the last time he talked to Saria. He even almost missed the self-proclaimed leader of the Kokiri, Mido... but then he quickly hated him again before he actually longed to see Mido again. It used to be so easy, just to waltz right into the forest.... until Navi left. "Hello?! You weren't even listening to me!" Ruto told Link folding her arms. Link just sighed and said, "Okay, okay, I'm listening..." waiting for his mind to wander again. "You'd better hubby! Okay, so I just went right over to Jabu-Jabu and nothing even happened!" Ruto continued. "Why are you calling me hubby now?" Link demanded. "That's what wives refer to their husbands to nowadays!" The Zora answered. Link just sighed and stared down at his feet. "Your thinking about HER aren't you?!" she accused. "Who's her?" Link asked, staring towards the forest. The princess replied, "That little girl from the forest you are always talking about! That green haired slu-" Link cut in with some laughing. "Who, Saria?" he laughed it off. "You're impossible!" Ruto rolled her eyes. "I'm going back to Zora's Domain." And she dove back through the shortcut. The next mourning came rather quicker than usual. He really anticipated Princess Ruto's notorious boasts, but today he felt a sudden urge to go see Princess Zelda. Like a need to, stronger than the forest has. He snuck past the guards easily, it seemed as if they needed glasses because he could be pretty close to them without them noticing. When he got to the courtyard, Zelda was sitting in the middle of the flower circles, playing Zelda's Lullaby to herself. When Link stood in front of her, she arose. "W-what? It's you again! Who are you?!" she demanded. She didn't remember any of the adult stuff. Yet, she just remembers him coming into the courtyard before, and giving her the ocarina of time and just walking off. "My name is Link," the boy replied, nervously and held out the back of his hand, showing the Triforce symbol. The young girl gasped. "Why are you here?! GUARDS! GUARDS!" she yelled, surprised. Almost as soon as she called for them, guards filled the courtyard dragging off Link. "Wait! WAIT!!!!! I'm the Hero of Time!!! You need to believe me!!!!!" Link called as the guards pulled him off. "Be quiet, stupid kid!" One guard said, tugging on Link's arm a little more. Zelda just stared off into the distance, where Link was pulled out of sight. "The Hero of Time?" she asked herself. "What does it mean?" Impa appeared behind her. "Don't worry, it's just some prankster child." she said, but even she couldn't take her eyes off the spot where Link went beyond the horizon. Navi flew higher than all the roofs in Kokiri Forest, greeting everyone she met. She spiraled sround the passed-away Deku Tree, flew over the store, and whizzed around Mido's head. Then she flew down to a troubled-looking Saria, whom was sitting indian style in her front yard with her head in her hands. "Hello?" asked Navi, swooping down to meet Saria face-to-face. "What seems to be the matter?" Saria looked at the blue glow and answered, "Oh, Navi! Link's been gone for ages now, I'm really worried about him. Last time I'd heard of him he had played Saria's Song, but for so long I have not heard anything from him. Do you think being on the out side world so long made him.....die?" Navi's blue glow seemed to bright up a bit as she heard the name Link. "He couldn't be dead from leaving the forest....he's a Hylain. I know. But he's still probobly in trouble!" she replied. "I must find him!" And with that she whizzed out of the forest, without one good-bye. Saria sat alone, staring at the entrance to the forest. "I sure hope you find him Navi" she said, almost to herself, then as wiping a tear she added, "Alive." Link. Alone again. It was 22:07 by now, and Link decided to retire back to the old brick wall before the skeletons came out. When a familiar voice called him telepathically. "Link! Go to the Temple of Time now, it's important! Please make haste!" It said. Link remembered that voice from somewhere, but for right now just couldn't put his finger on it. He pulled out the Fairy Ocarina, since he had given the Ocarina of Time back to Zelda. He played the Prelude of Light and when he appeared at the Temple, Rauru was there pacing back and forth. "Link, do you know why I called you here?" the sage said, nervous, not about Link, but something else was wrong. "Why? What did I do?!", Link asked, furrowing his brow. "You may have put Hyrule under deep chaos! You changed the future! The future not meant to be changed!" Rauru replied. "How do you mean?" Link asked. "Since you frightened the princess, she may not betrust the Ocarina of Time onto you in the near future! That means you never went forward in time to seal Gannon into the Sacred Realm! In other words, you may never save Hyrule!" Rauru said (with some pretty good dramatic effects, too!) As the young boy just stared blankly at the sage. "So, that means...." he started to reply when he felt a surge of energy leaving him. When slowly the triforce symbol on the back of his hand started to fade. "Link! LINK!!!!" Rauru said, as he faded too, into the deep darkness. Then Link fell onto the ground. "Gannon is not in the seal anymore." he said to himself leaving the Temple of Time. |
