![]() Zelda's Story By Marian Golda Princess Zelda, and her guardian, Impa, were having a fine life. Until one day, an evil man named Gandovorf came. He claimed to be Zelda's father. Zelda knew he was not but said nothing. Impa knew too but also said nothing. Gandovorf came and ruled the castle. That day, Zelda came and wrote in her journal:I know this man who claims to be my father is evil and he does not belong here. So why don't I tell Impa? Maybe he will execute me if he found out. I couldn't take that chance. I remeber an old story my mother used to tell me. About a Triforce. I remember it was a picture of three triangles making one triangle. It must have something to do with me, for Triforce symbols are everywhere in this castle. I am going to have tea with him tomorrow so I will ask him about the Triforce. And mother also said something about the Seven Sages. . . . but who are they? I should ask my so-called " father" about it. The next day, during tea, Zelda found the courage to ask Gandovorf. " Father, may I ask you something?" she asked. " What is it, Zelda?" he said gently. " Mother used to tell me stories about something called a Triforce. . . . and the Seven Sages. . . . and three goddesses. Do you know anything about them?" Suddenly, Gandovorf's face darkened. The look on his face made him look evil. . . .too evil. Zelda knew for sure he was an evil man. " No. I don't want you to ever speak about that ever again, understood?" he screamed in rage. Zelda meekly replied yes, and ran away to her room. In her journal, she wrote: I know what I must do know. That look on his face proved just how evil he is. I must call for help. I shall call call upon one of the Deku Tree's children. A Kokiri. The odd one, named Link. . . . |
