TURNING BACK THE CLOCK

"What's this?" asked Navi one day in early summer when Link was taking a break from galloping around the field. Hyrule field was a magnificent sight the past few days. The purple, blue, pink, and orange triforce flowers were in full bloom, the grass was bright green, and the air smelled crisp and fresh.

Link bent over to closer examine the object Navi discovered. It was blue metal. The metal was a kind Link had never before seen. It sparkled in the yellow sun. Link then touched it...

Nabooru was riding her brown horse for a short break when she saw Link sitting on the ground.

"LINK!" shouted Nabooru. "What happened?"

Link was very different. His clothes were sagging, he couldn't lift his sword, and he was SMALL!

"Hi pretty lady," said Link. "This will not do at all. The Hero of Time, no more than five years! I- hey! What's this?" Nabooru bent over to grab the blue object.

Suddenly, Nabooru was lifted five feet off the ground as a blue haze surrounded her.

"Oooh," said Link stupid and helpless.

"Your Highness, Impa, these two children were found wandering about Hyrule Field. They have some things..." started a guard.

"Link's sword!" cried Zelda.

"And shield!" finished Impa.

"Were the children the only thing found in the field?" asked Zelda.

"Um, yes," said the guard, sore about being interrupted. "This:" The guard held, wrapped in cloth, the blue metal. Suddenly the guard transformed to the wizard Agahnim. He threw the metal towards Zelda, who instantly became a young child.

"Who are you?" asked Impa, furious.

"I suppose you'll not find out anytime soon!" Agahnim shouted, attempting to throw the metal sphere at Impa. Being a Sheikah, Impa was able to dodge the assault, but was frozen by Agahim's magic...

"Well, if you would've stayed in the forest..." began Ruto.

"Look. Something's wrong. I can sense it. Link hasn't talked to me in...hours," Saria calmly argued back.

"Maybe he was busy!" retorted Ruto sharply. At that moment Saria coughed violently.

"I must sit down. This is the second time I've been out of the forest..."

"...Ruto, Saria. You are needed at the Chamber of Sages..." Whispered the distinct whisper of- was it Rauru? Saria really wasn't sure. The familier yellow light transported them to...

"With five sages in my clutches, plus Link and Zelda, I will soon be able to open the gate to the sacred realm!" screamed Agahnim, freezing Rauru in the Temple of Time.

"Make that seven!"
