Getting Navi Stuck - Now I don't know if this means something or is a game glitch, but after spending many hours poking and prodding at the Temple of Time I made a couple discoveries. The first is real breakthrough in terms of totally bizarreness. Okay, here it goes, as adult Link go up to the alter where the three stones are placed. Read the message about "The Ocarina of Time Opened the door. The Hero of Time, wiht the Master Sword, descended here" Approach from the side where Link's back is to the Master Sword pedistal. Hold Z and lunge onto the pedistal. Now you will be standing amist the Spiritual Stones. Navi will turn green here. Stand between the Goron Ruby and the Zora Sapphire and face the Kokiri Emerald. Play Saria's Song on the Ocarina. Talk to saria. After you are done walk away and if you did it right Navi will be stuck or hovering over the Spiritual Stones. The entire Temple of Time looks much darker now. Before you did this trick you would not be able to read the inscription for a second time. But after Navi gets stuck you can read it again once. This is really an odd one. If you travel back in time, Navi will reappear near you or if you leave the Temple of Time she will also reappear. Over all I'm placing my bets on it being another game glitch, but there is the possibility that it leads to something. Here's another thing. Notice that the altar where you remove and replace the Master Sword looks exactly like the hexagonal Medallions and Triforce part of the Quest Status. The Master Sword even has a Triforce (Triforce within a triforce) on the stone it is resting in. Seeing though Walls - Yes, you heard right. Charge up the Master Sword and Hold it like that. Move around and you will see beyond the walls in the Temple of Time. This should proove that there are no hidden passageways in the Temple of Time. I'm going to try this trick at many other places in the game since I just learned it 1/15/99. Some have pointed out that the light that shines in from the window above the master sword might have some meaning to it. It unfortunately can not be reflected with the mirror shield. If you enter the Temple of Time via the Master Sword and play the Song of The Sun you will reappear at the pedistal. If you stand in the Hallway between rooms of the Temple in the shadow and look into the room with the Master Sword in it with Up "C" it looks like it is much smaller and is square, but if you walk forward it turns into the regular room. This is really weird. Glitch? Don't know for sure. If you look at the ceiling in the Room with the master sword in the pedistal you will see a strange polygon pop-up effect on the roof. There are also three trianglar sections up on the wall. There seems to be a block-shaped area high on the wall that is darker or an outline of a door. ![]() ![]() Ever wonder about Rauru, the sage of light? He has no official temple to his name and he is always somewhere in the Chamber of Sages which is supposed to be in the Temple of Light, but we never get into the Temple of Light, do we? We never see this guy as young Link whereas we see all the other sages in their young or pre-sage forms i.e. Saria, Darunia, Princess Ruto, Nabooru, Impa, and Zelda. Oh, and don't tell me that the Owl is Rauru because of those Gossip Stones in the Secred Forest Meadow, because for the owl to be a reincarnation of an ancient sage then that would mean that he (The Owl) is actually reincarnated from someone else before, not Rauru who we only see in the future. Reincarnation does not work forwards in time. The owl in the past can not be reincarnated from Rauru in the future, it totally blows the term of reincarnation. If he is related to the owl by reincarnation then the creators of the game made an error when using that term in the way they used it. Not, going to happen, I say. So what's up with Rauru. As storyline goes he is most likely associated with the Light Palace in A Link to the Past, but what connection does he have to the Temple of Time. The possibility remains though that Owl is a manifestation in the "Light World" of Rauru in the "Sacred Realm" or Golden Land. Hey Check this out. I found another glitch and/or oddity. The very first time you arrive in the Temple of Time from the Chamber of Sages get Navi Stuck at the Spiritual Stone Alter again. Play Saria's Song, then play the Sun's Song in front of Sheik. You will reappear, but when you do the hexagonal part of the Master Sword Pedistal will be rimmed in a blue halo. Maybe one of these steps is unnecessary, but one of them triggers the blue halo. Weird. |
