Who we are & what we do:

In 1988 we discovered our love for black opal and started it in our house. From 
that point on we were hooked. We loved the color and fire of the stone. But being in the 
Mid-West the market for Black opal is not as well known as white opal. So we expanded 
to casting gold and silver jewelry.  It is known as lost wax casting. All jewelry is made
 from wax molds. We taught ourselves how to carve waxes for custom pieces. We do carving
 if possible; in the past 13 years we have done casting for several jewelry stores here as 
well as the East Coast. A local retired jeweler taught us several manufacturing 
techniques, as well as stone setting. I have been setting stones in jewelry for 10 years now.
The love of jewelry is in my blood. I hate to pay the price of jewelry in the local stores. 
That is one reason for starting this business, as well as the love of working with my hands. 
I enjoy being able to create a lovely piece of jewelry from a lump of gold. My business is just 
a small two-person operation. But what makes it great is only in the USA can one do so many 
things and enjoy it at the same time.
