Welcome to the Witkovers' Home Pages

While much of our work is based on our travels, our goal is to go beyond the "postcard" images to capture the spirit of the place and the people. Several of our photographs have appeared in Newsday, the Long Island regional newspaper. We have won prizes in competitions held by the Bellport Gallery, The Central Islip Civic Arts Council Arts and Crafts show, and repeatedly at the Gurwin Center Photo Competition. Our photographs have been featured in exhibitions held at the Art-Trium Gallery of the Huntington Arts Council, the Suffolk YJCC and at the Brookhaven National Laboratory Arts and Crafts Show.

In the last few years we have enjoyed producing and presenting multi-media digital slide shows which have been presented at a number of libraries on Long Island, the Stony Brook University Round Table and the Huntington Camera Club.

For almost 30 years we have been members of the Huntington Camera Club, both rising to the level of Master Photographers in the Club's annual competitions. Richard is a past President of the club and has won the award of Photographer of the Year several times. He is an artist member of the Huntington Arts Council.

Witkover Travel Adventures Multi-media Shows

We have developed a series of digital multi-media programs which make use of

state of the art digital techniques to take the audience along on our travels

and explore the world of digital photography.

A lecture on introduction to digital photography is also available.

These have been presented at various libraries and facilities on Long Island.

We have assembled several exhibits, each of about 25 large size photographic prints from these shows.
