John combined with Charles to also win a Bronze Medal in the Youth Doubles. All in all, the team won a total of 9 Bronze Medals. In the following Easter Classic Tournament, one of the biggest tournaments in Australia, John again showed his class by winning the U14, U16, U18 and U20 Singles and combined with Charles to win the U20 Doubles. He was also the Runners up in the U14 and U16 Mixed Doubles. He also reached the quarter final in the Mens Open Event losing to Australian Olympian Russell Lavale in a close match. This tournament confirmed that John is now the undisputed No.1 junior player in Australia.

Team manager and coach Tony Lee stated that the team could have won gold in the Team event and at least silver in the Singles event with a bit of luck. However he was satisfied with the teams performance as the players all tried their best and showed tremendous fight and spirit in their play. All the players have gained some experience from the tournament and will improve further in the future under the Wah Sing Development Program.
