Two of our club junior members, Xiao Wang and Christopher Kwok went to Melbourne to play in the Easter Classic tournament on 18-19 April 2003 under the supervision of coaching and development consultant, Tony Lee.

After two days of intense competition with record number of entries, they together collected a total of 8 trophies, including the B Grade Doubles and C Grade Doubles, C Grade Singles winner (Christopher Kwok) and runner up (Xiao Wang), U14 restricted singles runner up (Xiao Wang) and U16 restricted singles runner up (Christopher Kwok).

Two promising juniors in our club, they both gained valuable experience in preparation for the coming National Junior Championships to be held in Sydney later in the year.

We are thankful to Mr. Desmond Cheung, a community leader and keen supporter of table tennis in Melbourne, who took us out for dinner for the night. Mr. Cheung is actively involved in establishing table tennis clubs in Melbourne. WSTTA looks forward to visiting them in the near future.
