Consumer
One of the profit areas that hurt the Theme Park that opened up in Paris, France, was the consumer division. For all intents and purposes Disney has done their homework this time. China has taken to Coca-Cola, Levi’s, and McDonalds, in the past and with the proper research and direction will devour the product lines that are going to hit the market. The release of the movie Mulan in 1998 was a precursor to the move into the Chinese culture. The products are hits with this movie as well as Toy Story and Monsters, Inc. Disney has already created a niche here and I feel just needs to maintain facilities overseas for the creating and distribution of the products and product lines it will be moving into the market. The company should use a strong pull strategy to ensure the consumers are getting what products Disney has set the greatest demand for.
