Corporate Culture
This section embraces what was stated earlier with the understanding of the company’s origins and background. Since I have had the opportunity to hear firsthand the Leadership of Disney talk about being a great leader and moving into the future, I feel this section does not need much outside research. The culture of Walt Disney World is well defined and runs throughout the organization much like blood is pumped through a living being. All employees in the main Disney Subsidiaries (those which are directly touched with the synergy and have the Disney name interwoven with them) have a feel and respect for Walt Disney and his achievements. There is also a great respect for the Disney way. The Disney way is the way which Cast Members (employees) hold themselves. Cast much follow a rigid look, the Disney Look, which explains and outlines the way in which personal attributes are displayed. (I.e. hair, nails, make-up, dress, etc.) By maintaining strict requirements we see a world unfold. Disney World, that is! The Walt Disney Company and its culture as it spread across borders and boundaries changes to accommodate differences. Quality is a must with The Walt Disney Company. Everything in the theme park division and the hotel/restaurant division has to be meticulous to detail. No leap is too large to go for the sake of a guest. Guest Satisfaction Measurements and surveys are constantly taken to hone the machine, which is the Walt Disney Company, into a perfect working organization.
