From a political perspective we see the Walt Disney Company appeasing the masses. The release of the Film Mulan was a crutch to moving into the Chinese location. The WDC has a great hand in the local government’s pocket in France, where they have below the legal limit loans on land purchased below the normal price. Also WDC donated $125,000 to the Democratic National Convention for the last election – this was quoted as an obvious plea to be able to use the importing industry for their underpaid child labor. As long as the company needs to expand and make profit there will be political ties.
