* History: In 1990, Saddam Hussein's army invaded Kuwait and were sanctioned against by President Bush. Fearing defeat, Saddam's forces joined the Ragna Rok Project, an occult society left over from WW2 after Rasputin's Nazis failed in an attempt to bring forth what they considered to be the ultimate weapon to our world. They were successful in opening dimensional gate, but just as in 1944, American forces invaded and thwarted the evil dictator's plans. Only this time, the demon child was successfully pulled through to our world.
The child was dubbed Hellboy for his features, but in the end, the name would prove detrimental to his reputation. He was taken to New Mexico to a secret military base that is known as Area 51, where he was raised with a platoon of marines on detail at the base. They were stationed as his handlers, but thought of him more as their mascot than their prisoner. Hellboy grew quickly and was constantly testing his boundaries, finding the weaknesses in the security system, or the walls. At 10 years old, he was already starting to dwarf the soldiers who were there to guard him, but he hasn't shown any hostility against personnel yet.
General McCallister grows more and more weary of Hellboy's constant escape attempts and is currently looking for somewhere to send the now-large demon because he's eating up their budget in food and repairs. When Tristan came to Area51, the research and training that Hellboy was undergoing kind of took a backseat. When McCallister decided to give the boy over to the mutants, he decided that Hellboy would be a bonus factor and is taking him, too.
