* Powers: Wings made of fire sprout from his back and allow him to fly. He can pull them inside when not using them. Fire and heat absorption and immunity. Fire and heat production and control. Heightened immunity due to high body temperature.
* Weakness: He must let his wings sprout at least twice a day to release heat and fire from his body otherwise he could burn someone simply by touching them. High winds and rain/water make flying difficult to impossible. He tends to not like flying very high.

* History: Jake is the youngest child of an Irish fire fighter, also a pyro-kinetic. His mother has brown feathered wings and his older sister has manifested time displacement powers. Jake was born with his mutation �on,� flaming wings sprouting from the infant�s back when the doctor slapped his butt to get him to cry. The doctor was burned severely and Jake was nearly dropped on his head and a nearby oxygen tank exploded. Jake�s father, however, was able to contain the flames of the blast, if not the explosive force, and so was able to limit the damage.
A serum was developed that would suppress Jake�s powers, but it also caused his body temperature to rise to dangerous (to others) levels. By trial and error, they finessed the serum so that it would wear off and the wings could manifest, kept in check by Jake�s father, before another dosage was given. When Jake was old enough, his father trained him to keep them in check himself and the serum became unnecessary.
Jake�s father was killed when the World Trade Center collapsed on 9/11. He wants nothing more than to follow in his father�s footsteps and become a fire fighter, though his mother would rather he didn�t.
