* History: Tristan was found naked and alone on a desert road outside Roswell, New Mexico in 1994 at the approximate age of 6 years old with a case of total amnesia. He went through several foster homes until he was 9, finally being adopted by Hank Whitmore, an abusive drunk who used to beat him and lock him in the cabinet under the sink. Hank's drunken rages got so bad, that he attacked Tristan once in the middle of the night. Unable to talk Hank down, Tristan accidentally used his powers on the man, giving him a heart attack and instantly killing him.
There had been hushed rumors about Tristan and "supposed phenomena" all his life, and now the rumor that he'd killed his foster-father loomed over him as he returned to the group home in Roswell. There is nowhere in New Mexico that they can send him short of a juvenile correction facility. Instead, the state decided to seek outside help and custody of him has now been awarded to Xavier's Institute.
Tristan just had a short stay at Area51 after losing control of his powers in the orphanage. After a month, they'd exhausted their resources in studying his physiology, but the drugs that they were using to reign in his powers were also killing him. They figure that Xavier's can handle him and they'd rather let the mutants get blown up by the alien if they can't. He's been implanted with tracking devices so that after base personnel drop him off at Xavier's, they'll still know where he is at all times.
