At 7:00, I woke up and because of the heat, had to get up. We ate cereal for breakfast and then went our separate ways. I went to the post office to pick up a package of a Gatorade–type of powder called ERG. After this, I got a new pair of sunglasses at Wal-Mart. Since my watch had broken, I tried to exchange it but since I did not have a receipt, I could not. I replaced the battery but then, it did not work at all! I left having accomplished half of my goals and then rode back to the campground to play pool. Around 12:00, Scott and I rode into town to see the movie American Pie to discover that they were only open at night. So instead, we went out to lunch. On the way back, we stopped at Wal-Mart again and this time, I asked another person about my watch, she said to exchange it; so I now had a functional watch! We rode back to the campground to play some more pool and soon people got back from seeing the pueblo that is still being lived in. Marnie and I went to Wal-Mart yet again, but this time to buy food for dinner. When we got back, she began to cook a cold pasta salad while I barbequed chicken, steak, and corn. For dessert, we had fruit salad and a couple of juices to drink. Yet another storm came in and blew around a few tents. Scott's even snapped a fiberglass pole! There was so much water coming out of the drainpipe that I was able to hold my bike under it to wash off all the dirt just like a hose. After cleaning up, I went to bed at 10:30.
