Today I woke up at 8:00 to the hot sun boiling me inside of my tent. I got out and within a short time everyone went out to breakfast. To fulfill my growing hunger, I had eggs, ham, cheese, hash browns, two pancakes, and orange juice. I finished it all and then I went to the local bike shop for a new chain and oil. After running a few bike related errands, we went to the post office and Marnie and I went shopping again for food. We picked up breakfast and lunch things and bought dinner at Subway, which consisted of twelve 12-inch subs for $39. Along with this, we had apple pie with ice cream for desert. After getting back to the campground, we stood around and talked while I cleaned off my drive chain so I could replace my chain. Finally, my new chain was on, but, as I test rode it, I realized how worn out my cogs were. The old chain had stretched so much that it was 7/8 of an inch too long as the same number of links in a new chain! Finally, I got everything into moderate functioning order so I would be able to ride without the chain skipping too badly. After cleaning up, I went to bed at 11:00 so I would be ready for the next very hard and long day.
