1. JAMES1 MCCULLOCH died January 1758 in Rowan County, North Carolina. He married ELIZABETH.

2. WILLIAM2 MCCULLOCH (JAMES1) was born Abt. 1732, and died 1790 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. He married ELIZABETH NEEL, daughter of THOMAS NEEL and SARAH.

Being weak in body, I will to Elizabeth Lemmond, dau of my son-in-law Robert Lemmond, my saddle and half of my pewter; to John Hutcheson, son-in-law of George Hutcheson, the remaining half of my pewter, and to his brother William my pot rack; to my dau Jean Lemmond my feather bed and bedclothes and negro Peg; and to my dau Agnes Hutcheson my spinning wheel, my cloak and body clothes, and my cotton yarn is to be divided between my daus. All the residue of my property consisting of household and kitchen furniture, cows and a mare are to be sold and the proceeds divided equally among the present children of sons-in-law Robert Lemmond and George Hutcheson. I give 12 sh to my son-in-law John Saddler and his wf Jannet, and 12 sh to each of my two nephews James and William Hutcheson.

The above legacies are to be paid as the legatees come of age.

Elizabeth McCulloch Will

In the Name of God Amen

I, Elizabeth McCulloch being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory calling to mind the mortality and approaching dissolution of my body. Knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament and first I do recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in Christian and decent manner at the discretion of my executors and as touching such worldly goods as it hath pleased the Lord to bless me with I dispose in the following manner and form.

Inprimis I will leave and bequeath unto Elizabeth Lemmonds Daughter to my Son in law Robert Lemmonds my saddle and the one half of all my pewter

Item I will give and bequeath unto John Hutchison son to my son in law George Hutcheson the remaining half of my pewter and my pot rack to William Hutcheson son to the sd George Hutcheson

Item I will give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Gean Lemmonds my feather bed and all the bedclothes belonging to it as aIso one Negroe wench named Peg to her and her heirs forever.

Item leave and bequeath to Agnes Hutcheson my beloved daughter my spinning wheel and also my cloack and it also my will and pleasure that all my body cloaths together with a quantity of cotton yarn be equaly divided between my two above mentioned daughters Viz Jean Lemmonds and Agnes Hutcheson

And it is my will and pleasure that all the residue and remainder of my property consisting of household and citchen furniture as also some cows and one mare be sold and the moneys arising therefrom after all my just and lawful debts and funeral expenses is paid and also all the ready cash that I now have to be divided in the same manner amongst all the children of my sd 2 sons in law after the followin legacies is paid Viz

to my son in law John Sadler and his wife Gennet the sum of 12 shillings to my 2 nephews William M Todd and James Todd the sum of 12 shillings each and also to my two nephews James Hutcheson and William Hutcheson the sum of 12 shillings each.

And it is my will and pleasure that the money arising from the above described property ordered to be sold and all the ready cash now in hand be put to interest and paid out by my executor as they shall severally arrive to age that is the children of Robert Lemmonds and of George Hutcheson each of their children to share alike and equally. I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my trusty and well beloved friend Moses Wallace to be my whole and Sole Executor of this my last will and testament and I do hereby Disannul and Disallow of all other wills testaments legacies or bequeathments by me heretofore made or mentioned ratifying this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 4th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven
