���� Dr. Michael Magruder is Assistant Band Director and Instructor of Music at Jackson State University, Jackson, Mississippi. His duties include: Concert Band Conductor, Woodwind Ensemble Conductor, and Arranger for the Marching Band. He is a graduate of Jackson State University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree and Master of Music degree in Performance from Louisana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisana. Mr. Magruder was a member of the of the LSU Symphonic Ensemble and principle clarinetist with the LSU orchestra. Some of his credits include Band Director Thompson Junior High School, Natchez, Mississippi; Director of Bands, Texas College, Tyler, Texas; and Band Director, L.B. Landry High School, New Orleans, Louisana. His memberships include: The Music Educators National Conference (MENC), The National Black Music Caucus, Kappa Kappa Psi Band Fraternity, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
