Movable Feast Weave For Five
I learned this lovely variation of the movable feast at EJC 08 in Karlsruhe. Each juggler passes to every
other juggler including himself. Also everyone moves around as they juggle!
It can be juggled on any count, purists would say it should be done on
a three count. Here's a description of a five person version:
For the first pass A passes with C, D passes with E and B does
a self. The jugglers start in these positions:
Then everyone moves around as shown by the arrows:
On the next pass A passes with E, B passes with C and D does a self:
Then everyone moves around as shown by the arrows:
Now A passes with E, C does a self and B passes with D:
This is the same as the first diagram, except all the jugglers have moved around!
With any odd number of jugglers the pattern will be similar to the five
person pattern. On one pass one juggler selfs at the left of
the pattern and on the next pass one juggler selfs at the right of the pattern.
