A Brief history of the creation of Pakistan

Pakistan was granted independence by the uncountable sacrifices rendered by our elders. This documents describes very briefly the main points related to the creation of Pakistan.

The creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims had been the idea of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan who did not express it as he thought it to be pre mature to demand it at that time.

Allama Iqbal officially took the name of Pakistan for the first time ever at Allahbad in 1930. Although the Quaid was not ready to accept it at that time.

After the Congress rule over India, after the 1937 elections, The Muslims were now none the less aware that what would happen to them if they lived with the Hindus. The Quaid celebrated the Day of Deliverance after the end of the Congress rule.

In 1940, the Lahore resolution was the most important step in the creation of Pakistan. From then onwards the Muslim League had turned into a mass movement and now clearly rejected the idea of the Congress that it represented Muslims as well.

The 1945/46 elections are also known as the vote for Pakistan as the world saw the Muslim League sweep all the reserved seats allocated that clearly indicated that Muslim League was no doubt representing the Muslims and that that the Muslim League could no longer be ignored or insulted by The Congress and the British.

Hence Pakistan was hastily created and the British left with unjust partitions and division of assets in a Hurry.
