Practical  Norms  for  Victim  Souls

The greatest reward I can give a soul, is to make her a victim of my love and mercy,
rendering her like myself, who am the divine Victim for sinners. --- Our Lord to Josefa Menendez, June 30, 1921. France.

Devotion to Mary

Victim souls should practice great filial devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 1973, Our Lord said that the salvation of souls will be realized with sorrow, but that this sorrow will be relieved and alleviated by the intercession of the Virgin Mary, who is the mother and helper of victim souls, and consoles and strengthens them in their sorrow and affiction. They should be familiar with some of the great Marian classics:

True Devotion to Mary, by St. Louis de Montfort
The Glories of Mary, by St. Alphonsus Liguori
Mystical City of God, by Ven. Mary of Agreda
Marian Apparitions: Lourdes, Fatima, La Salette, etc.

(all available free on line).

Prayers for Victim Souls, Mass attendance, sacramentals

Victim souls use traditional Catholic prayers, especially the Rosary. They should pray five decades every day, and more if possible.

Rosary
Aspirations
Private Devotions
Penitential Rosary

During the day, while performing their daily duties, they should use frequent aspirations and short prayers, in order to do all their actions for the greater glory of God and salvation of souls. Also they may offer their private devotions for the same intentions.

In 1973 Our Lord revealed the Penitential Rosary to Maria Concepcion. It consists of the traditional Rosary, praying it with one's arms in the form of a cross, joined with the Little Office of the Holy Spirit. (See booklet, Penitential Rosary). It serves to remind us of what our Lord suffered when his arms were on the cross.

Victim souls may use traditional sacramentals, brown scapular, Miraculous Medal, medal of St. Benedict, etc. If these sacramentals are not available in your area, you may use whatever sacramentals are there. Our Lord also requested us to have holy pictures and images in our homes.

Humility of Body and Soul

In 1858, the most holy Virgin Mary said to St. Bernadette at Lourdes, "Kiss the ground, for the conversion of sinners."

In 1916, the seers of Fatima, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco, prayed the prayer of the angel, with their faces to the ground. "My God, I believe, I hope, I love and I adore you. I ask pardon of those who do not believe, hope, love or adore you."

On June 14, 1921, Our Lord said to Josefa Menendez in France: "Do not be separated from me even for one instant. Often kiss the ground..... do everything out of love, and do not lose sight of what I suffered for souls."

On Feb. 25, 1923, he told her: "Kiss the ground and write, for we are going on with love's secrets......."

On March 7, 1923, he said to her: "Kiss the ground in all humility, write today concerning the pain endured by my Heart, etc....."

on March 12, 1923, He said to her: "Humble yourself, kiss the ground, and then come with me, let us go to Gethsemane......"

On March 15, 1923, Our Lord appeared to her, standing before the table in front of which she knelt, after having renewed her vows. He said as usual, "Kiss the ground, and humble yourself, Josefa."

By this act she each time offered herself once more to do his will.

At the beginning of every community exercise (prayers, meals and recreation), the Franciscan Minim sisters recite the Hail Mary in Latin, and then kiss the ground, thereby asking her blessing for their community act.

It is a recommendation (but not an obligation) for victim souls to kiss the ground before, during or after their prayers. Those who suffer paralisis or who are gravely ill, are not obliged to do it.

Humility in speech

Victim souls should not tell others that they are victim souls. Souls are saved by suffering in silence and by hidden prayers, and actions, not by mere talk. But they can have spiritual conversations, in order to encourage each other to love Our Lord and Our Lady as much as possible.

Moderate Schedule for Radio, TV and Internet

In 1973, Our Lord said, "They should have a moderate schedule for this diversion (radio and TV) and not let their children lose their innocence by means of this wicked diversion (TV)."

Victim souls should have a moderate schedule for radio, TV and internet, and carefully avoid worldly shows or entertainment, and only view material that will help to elevate their minds and souls toward God.

St. Francis de Sales, in his book "Introduction to the Devout Life," has a chapter named, On Pasttimes and Recreations. He mentioned some recreations, such as playing chess, listening to music, playing on an intrument, or singing music, and pleasant conversation with one's relatives or friends. He wrote that these pasttimes are not sinful, provided that they are done in moderation. He suggests a time limit of one hour of recreation. He wrote that it is allowed to enjoy these innocent pasttimes, otherwise they would not be recreation, but that one should not become attached to them, or overly fond of them.

Is  Television  Beneficial?

We need to create silence, we need to pray. And we need to read the Word of God, and also biographies of holy women and men, and great novels. If we don't read, we condemn ourselves to chronic stupidity and a conditioning of mass media that has no sympathy for the things we believe.

Television is not a channel for serious thought -- but just the opposite. And the internet, for all its advantages, is too often a source of isolation. Many of the videos on the internet are anti-religious in content. ... If we fill our heads with poison and junk, we make ourselves angry and dumb.

The  Passion  of  Christ  continues  today

The Passion of Christ did not end on Good Friday. During the centuries it has continued and will continue until the end of the world.

When Saul was persecuting the Christians in Jerusalem, Our Lord appeared to him and said, "Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?" In persecuting and harming the Christians, members of Christ's body, the Church, Saul was persecuting Christ himself.

In every religious persecution, Our Lord in the person of the members of his body, is again, falsely accused, brought to a trial and condemned, put in prison, tortured and then given a death sentence.

Just as our Lord's crucifixion ended in the glory of the resurrection, so the death of the martyrs ends in the ineffable glory of paradise. "If we suffer with him, we will be glorified with him." (Romans 8). And at the end of time their bodies will arise, radiant and glorious, to share in the triumph of Our Lord.

Every time a priest or bishop committs a mortal sin, the betrayal of Judas and treachery of the Pharisees is happening again.

Our Lord said to Josefa Menendez, "Sinners wound me in my hands and feet, but consecrated souls, priests and religious, wound me in my heart. I have given greater blessings and favors to them, and from them I expect more reparation and love."

Just as our Lord had some faithful souls who accompanied him in his sorrow and passion, so today he has some souls in religious communities and in the world, who console him for all the outrages, forgetfulness and betrayal of so many souls who wound him with their mortal sins. Victim souls are similar to John, to Mary Magdalen and to the holy women at the foot of the cross, who consoled our Lord with their sorrow and tears. And on Easter Sunday they shared more intensely the joy of their risen Lord. Victim souls have to suffer more than others, but they will also have much greater joys than others, when Our Lord and our Lady triumph.

Reparation for a very frequent sin

The most holy Virgin Mary revealed to Ven. Mary of Agreda, that one of the most frequent sins of mankind is ingratitude. Victim souls offer atonement for this injustice, by making frequent vocal and mental prayers of thanksgiving and adoration.
