"THE BROKEN
CHAIN"
"We little knew that
morning
That God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly.
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to
lose you,
You did not go alone;
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful
memories,
Your love is still our guide;
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is
broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Lee was a family man. He
loved his family, and worked hard as a heavy equipment
mechanic, to give them what they needed. He never complained,
for he was happy and proud to be a husband and father. His
favorite pastime was fishing with his kids.
He was tall, husky, and
seemed to be in good health, but he died unexpectedly of a
massive heart attack, just 4 days before his Dad died. We
didn't go to the funeral service, as Lee lived in Kansas, and
Truman was too ill to travel. Truman was upset about Lee's
death and the fact that he couldn't go and grieved himself to
death. Lee was from Truman's first marriage, but I had grown
to love him as my own.
I am so sad to lose the
ones I love, but I know they are together in Heaven, with my
son, Kenneth who died in 1982. Someday, I will see them
again.

I found this poem on the
web, and think this is what Lee would say:
"I AM ALWAYS WITH
YOU"
When I go, you will not be
left all alone; I will come back to you. In a little while
the world will see me no more, but you will see me, and
because I live, you also will live.
When that day comes, you
will know that I am in my Father and that you are in me, just
as I am in you..... Peace is what I leave with you; it is my
own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world
does.
John 14:18-20, 27
Do not be worried and
upset; Do not be afraid.
