“GARTH
BROOKS: COAST TO COAST LIVE,” A
SERIES OF THREE ONE-HOUR CONCERT SPECIALS, TO BE BROADCAST LIVE FROM THREE
LOCATIONS ACROSS AMERICA, NOVEMBER 14, 21 AND 28, ON CBS
Each show will originate from a different city in the United States, feature a
different group of guest stars, and be completely unique in terms of venue,
audience, and musical content. Brooks will perform songs from his forthcoming
Capitol Records release, Scarecrow (in stores November 13), as well as his
greatest hits. Each special will join Brooks in the midst of a live concert.

Garth Officially Announces his Retirement...
(NASHVILLE) Oct. 26, 2000 -- In a press conference today, Garth announced that he "will not tour again." While he'll release another album in 2001, for which he'll solicit songs from the Nashville community, he will no longer be an active recording and touring artist. Full Story

music continues to reach ever-growing audiences.
New RIAA Certification
The RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) has just certified Brooks' Double Live at 13 times platinum, resulting from 6.5 million sales of the 2-CD set. This matches the feat set previously by Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band's Live 1975-1985 as the highest-certified live album in history.
This latest certification also brings Brooks' total RIAA certifications to 100 million, more than any
other solo artist in American music history. A complete listing of Brooks' U.S. album certifications
