about me yogananda jeppu born in mangalore, karnataka, india on april 30, 1965 - that's me. my father vasudev and mother geetha named me after paramahasma yogananda. jeppu is the name of my village, in mangalore. father was in the northern railways so as a kid i was all over north india along with the indian railway coach, my mobile home. we came to mangalore to
settle down in 1979 and i joined the canara high
school for my 10th
standard. my pre-university education was at canara
college,
mangalore. in 1986 i passed out of manipal
institute of technology, manipal as an electronics and communication
engineering graduate. four years of my life were spent
here watching the sun set in the arabian sea at the
sunset point.
at present i am involved in the design and testing of the control system of the light combat aircraft (lca). lca took to the skies for the first time on january 4, 2001.
my interests and hobbies are astronomy, philately, writing and computers. my favourite site for astronomy is Dr. Odenwald's ask the astronomer, an archive of 3000 questions and answers on astronomy. some of the other sites of interest are the calendar zone, and mathworks astronomy links.
