612-Thomas HOLLINGSWORTH, b. Mar 1660/61, Belleniskcrannell Co., Armagh, IRE, s/o Valentine and Ann (REE) HOLLINGSWORTH, d. 1732/33, Winchester, Frederick Co., VA, m. (613) Margaret CALVERT, b. 24 Apr 1661, Lurigan Co., Armagh, IRE, d/o Thomas and Jane (GLASFORD) CALVERT, d. Aug 1687. After the death of Margaret, Thomas m. 2nd. Grace COOK, of Concord on 31 Jan 1692, by whom he had nine child. According to legend, Thomas was on a visit to his son Abraham's, who lived near Winchester, VA, in 1733, when it is said he was killed by a buffalo near North Mountain, eight or nine miles north of the city, having gone on a hunting expedition with some of the settlers. His will dated, 30 Oct 1723, is filed in the court house in Wilmington, New Castle Co., DE. His home was always Rockland Manor in New Castle Co., DE, at the time a part of the providence of PA. He came to America with his father and settled in New Castle Co., DE, on the west side of the Brandywine River, in 1682.
