Joseph Lemire Marsolet was the Great-great-grandson of
Nicholas Marsolet, 1587-1677
and
Marie LeBarbier, dite de la Barbide, (1619-1688)
by their daughter Louise Marsolet who married Jean LeMire

Joseph was from Trois-Rivieres and he was married on November 4th 1727, to Marie-Madeleine Gaultier Gaudry, baptized May 31 1711, first child born after all the previous children in her family died in a fire, daughter of Jacques Gaudry of Varennes and Marie Gauthier-Landreville of Montreal (married on July 3rd 1703) daughter of Mathurin Gaultier of Montreal. Their first four children were burnt in their home on January 21 1709 and Madeleine Gaudry de la Bourbonniere, born in 1711, came from this scarred household

In all likelihood, it was one of Madeleine's relatives, Jacques Gauthier, tru her Maternal Grand-Father, Mathurin Gaultier, who was included on the 1666 Census as one of the residents in the household of Jean Lemire, who was Joseph's Grand-Father.

Joseph Lemire Marsolet was the son of Jean-Francois Lemire Marsolet and Francoise (Prevost) Foucault. Francoise was a far-cousin of Jean-Francois, from her Mother's side, Elisabeth Prevost of Rouen, tru his Uncle D'Amours connection, namely Jeanne Le Prevost, Mathieu D'Amours' Grand-Mother.

Joseph and Madeleine had twelve (12) children.

Three of their sons, Louis, Joseph and Joachim would marry three Ridechot (Ritchot) sisters, Marie-Elisabeth (Louis), Marie-Claire (Joseph) and Marie-Anne (Joachim)

Their fourth son, Bonaventure Gaudry-Bourbonniere LeMire Marsolet, born in 1735, was married to Marie-Josephe Chaput Senez and their first son (fourth child), Bonaventure Senez Lemire-Marsolet, born in 1765, had 21 children, by two wives, nine children with Elisabeth Mireault and twelve children with Helene Roussin, the grandmother of my Great-Grand-Father Charles Lemire

Joseph and Madeleine's first son and second child LOUIS was married twice.
