This is a very special CD. It is an hour long laping of waves on the shore with thunder mixed in and
of course the relaxing music that has the Robert Carty touch. The music is light and airy but with a
fluid sound. The lake waves were recorded on the banks of The Great Salt Lake in Utah, and they
are mesmerizing. Robert has added the sound of thunder to give the music a bit of variety. Around
30:00 into the music, there is the far off sound of a bell that gets louder and sounds closer, and finally
you begin the journey home. A beautiful restful CD. Highly recommended.
"Waterspirit" is one 59-minute composition. Ambient sound designer Robert Carty juxtaposes his
desert atmospheres with aquatic samples. The effect is chilling. The minimalism is hauntingly serene
and relaxing. This is unusual ambience. It is perfect background that envelopes the listener. The
music reaches out gently and pulls the listener in. This is a long distance hug from Murray, Utah.
The hug is from Robert. Thanks, Robert. Hugs are always special .
