The WI, Plum Creek "New House"

RedmintJosie Doskocil was proud of her flowers, one of which she called "Redmint". She gave plantings of this plant she had hand carried from her home in Chicago, IL. to each of her daughters, Hattie and Evelyn, so that this plant would survive for other generations. She said that "Grandma had them first". This photo is of a planting of that origional flower from Chicago. It grows today, in 1998, in front of my home in WI. Some people refer to it as "Bee Balm", but whatever the name, Grandma's "Redmint" plant survives, 100 years now since the Chicago time.
