Brief history of their family
In the mid 1800s, Obed and Ursula pioneered in the Platteville area of Grant Co., WI. It was here that Obed, like many of his ancestors, was a Lay Minister, Methodist. He also ran a sawmill in Platteville, WI. They raised their family and lived the rest of their lives in this area. Both Obed and Ursula are buried at Whig Cemetery, just outside of Platteville, WI.
