This is dedicated to my mother, whose life was taken away from her by breast cancer at the age of 54. She was a person who was loved by and will be missed by many. She left behind a daughter who is lost now without her, a niece who feels like she has lost a mother, and a brother who has lost his best friend/mother/confidant/sister. She was all of these things, but the one thing that she was to all of us was a leader. She led this family and kept it together when her parents left this earth bound place. Now, she is with them and they are watching us all as we fumble our way through life without the guidance and nurturing that we had all become accustomed to. It's amazing how many people will rely on just one person. I know of about 150 people in this world who is going to feel a little lost without her direction.
