In 1964, a band of four guys from Liverpool, England, came to America and proceeded to take the country by storm. Unfortunately, I was far too young to know this at the time, for 1964 was the year I was born.

The group was the Beatles.

I never really was very interested in the Beatles. I was just too young to appreciate the four of them at the time.

Not long ago, a girl named Aimee became very obsessed with the Beatles, and to be truthfull, she became a pest about them. Not a day went by that she didn't say something about the band. I got pretty sick of hearing about the Beatles.

I guess it rubbed off on me, because I bought a little, inexpensive DVD at K-Mart (see below), and my intrest grew.

I guess you could call me a fan, but not an obsessive one.

I found the following affordable Beatles DVDs. They should be simple to find --one was found at K-Mart, while the other two was found at Wal-Mart:

The Beatles: Unauthorized: This is a documentry of their first visit to America, with their first concert in Washington, D.C., as well as highlights from they last concert, as well as a rare, uncensored interview. Songs: "Roll Over Beethoven," "From Me to You," "I Wanna Be Your Man," "Till There Was You," "I Saw Her Standing There," "I Wanna Hold Your Hand," and "Twist and Shout". Pete Best is on I've Got a Secret. I got this DVD at K-Mart for about $3.00.

The Beatles: The Beatles Celebration/Love Me Do: These were found at Wal-Mart in a packaged set for $5.50. The Beatles Celebration is a visual history of the Beatles, narriated by Geoffrey Giuliano. This DVD includes BEATLEMANIA!, a rare newsreel documenting the Beatle's arrival in London after their U.S. tour.
Love Me Do is about the group's early history, and how they came together to form the Beatles. Most of the footage is an interview with Victor Spinetti, an actor who worked with them on their first three movies. There is also a bonus interview with Allan Williams, their first manager.

I also have the soundtrack to The Yellow Submarine, by far my most favorite Beatles movie. I like cartoons! ^_^

Links:
Aimee (aka Sgt Pepper)'s Beatle-craze: The wonderful site of the wonderful girl that reintroduced me to the Beatles, and got me intrested in them.
BeatleLinks: Lots of links to Beatles' pages.
Beatles Songs: A list of Beatles' songs.
Beatlespeech: Learn to speak like a Beatle!
Beatlemania in the 21st Century: The site that the Beatlespeech page is a part of...
Steve's Beatle Page: Another great Beatles page. Includes all the songs and their lyrics.

A Beatles Messageboard I'm on: (Both buttons lead to the same place.)
