A room created as a defense and refuge for the sadly maligned fanfic character type, the Self-Inserted Character, a.k.a. "Mary Sues", and their unofficial male counterparts, the "Marty Sams".
I feel a little sad about the Mary Sues. They are the embodiment of every dreamer's fantacy, yet no one but their dreamer loves them. People say that they are "too perfect". So what? Nothing wrong with that. And everyone needs at least one Mary Sue/Marty Sam/Gary Stu/etc. that is "perfect", to deal with the hard stuff that they have trouble coping with. And it releives stress.
