Mega Man was a cartoon based on the best-selling video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). There were also games for the Game Boy System and later, for the Super NES. The main storyline was set in the near future (21st century), and was about two scienists, Dr. Light and Dr. Wily, who built robots. Dr. Wily built robots for evil, intending to take over the world with his robot army. Dr. Light (orginally, Dr. Right), built the one robot that could stop him --MEGA MAN! Called "Rockman" in Japan, Mega Man swiftly became a favorite among game players. When he reached the Super NES, Mega Man was Mega Man X, hundreds of years in the future. Dr. Light and Dr. Wily were long dead, and Dr. Cain found the last of Dr. Light's robots --a new model he called Mega Man X. Dr. Cain started to make replicas --or reploids-- of X. At first, they worked well, but soon they started turning on the humans that they were serving, or went maverick. Dr. Cain created the Maverick Hunters, led by a reploid named Sigma. All went well for a while. Then Sigma went Maverick, too. Claiming that the humans were a threat to reploid survival, Sigma and the Mavericks desided to eliminate all humans. The Maverick Hunters were given a new leader, a reploid named Zero. Zero and Mega Man X became partners.
Fanfics:
My fanfics will either be about the cartoon Mega Man or the cartoon Mega Man X. They'll follow the cartooon series pretty much (since I am know more about the cartoon than I do about the games), except for one detail. Protoman will be one of the good guys, like he was supposed to be. In the Mega Man fanfics, my avatar will be Coral, a mermaid princess with the power to walk on land. She will be Mega Man's girlfriend and future wife. My avatar for the Mega Man X fanfics is an old character of mine named Huntara. She is the human wife of Mega Man X and the first human Maverick Hunter.

Mega Man --the Series: Fan-created book series, that is. Mandi Paugh wrote a lot of good books based on the video game, as my stories will be based on the cartoon.
