Star Trek: The Next Generation is an update of the Star Trek TV series from 1966. STTNG ran from 1987 -- 1994 (Seven Seasons), and featured an updated crew --including a Klingon and an android!

In STTNG, my favorite character was/is Data, the android. He was a Lt. Commander, and his post was Ops. (Operations). He had very light, gold skin, and gold eyes, and black hair that was slicked back. His uniform was mustard yellow. (The new security color. In the old series, security was red. Red is now for command. Yellow is also for Engineering. Blue is still the sciences.). His actor was Brent Spinner.

Data was "Pinnocio" -- he wanted to be human. Or to be as human-like as he could be. To this end, Data strived to emulate his human crewmates --with various results.
