Nyssa was raised in a small tribe hiding in the wilderness of Harrowood. She was wrongfully accused of murdering her fiance, when a jealous friend was actually responsible. Fearing for her life, she was forced to leave her tribe or face an almost certain execution.
She soon found herself in Asgarnia and shortly began to train as a Beast Sorceress. Previously she had recieved training in her tribe, so she did not spend much time at all as a mage.
Until now, she has not been on any major missions. The only reason she is even on this one is that she was in right place at the right time. There really were no other options, and the team desperately needed a Beast Magic user....
Nyssa can become a black panther. She can fully become the animal or take on a "werepanther" form. If needed, she can change only part of her body, such as her hands to grow claws.
A secondary power is her ability to communicate with animals. Still a sorceress, she has not yet mastered the ability to control animals, however.
