| Mrs. Garrett was the girls housemother. She always gave them advice, and was a sweet loving person. She owned a shop, called Edna's Edibles and then Over Our Heads. She has two grown sons, and an ex husband. She was born and raised in Wisconsin and has been in the peacecorps. She remarried and moved to Africa to rejoin the peacecorps in the 8th season. Charlotte Rae was born on April 22, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI. She was born as Charlotte Lubotsky. She always wanted to be a star and when she came to NY, Cloris Leachman was her roomate who replaced her in The Facts Of Life. |
