Holiday Ham Glaze

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
• 8 tablespoons butter (1 stick)
• 1/2 cup dark rum
• 1/4 cup dark molasses
• 3 tablespoons spicy mustard
• 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Steps:

1. Mix all ingredients (just prior to use) in a non-reactive saucepan and bring to a boil.
2. Stir constantly while heating.
3. Reduce heat, stirring and allow to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
4. Apply to ham while warm.
