Herbie Hancock
Hugely popular keyboard player and producer. In the late 1970's he recorded in
the disco/jazz-funk field. Good recordings from this time include "I
thought it was you" - his first recording to use the Vocoder to modulate
voices - and the international smash "You bet your love". More in the
early 1980's electro-funk style was "Tell everybody". For classic
jazz-funk Herbie, listen to tracks like "Knee deep",
"Chameleon" and "Doin' it".
