Leon Hayward

Funk artist who first hit the US charts in 1975 with "I want'a do something freaky to you". Further disco records followed, like "Strokin'", "Party" (great wah-wah backing) and "Don't push it, don't force it", a late UK disco hit in 1980. We also particularly like the funky early 12" single "The streets will love you to death".

The streets will love you to death (Columbia 12" AS 260, 1976) Strokin' (20th Century 12" TCD-58, 1976) Party (MCA 12" L33-1991, 1978) Don't push it don't force it / Who you been giving it up to (20th Century 12" TCD-105, 1980) If you're looking for a night of fun / (mono) (20th Century 12" TCD-108, 1980) Daydream / (mono) (20th Century 12" TCD-115, 1980)
