Players Association

UK disco DJ Chris Hill's band. Blending disco and jazz-funk, they gained popularity on the 1980's Rare Groove scene, so now some of their albums are depressingly expensive. Check out any song on any of their albums.

Their first LP contains cover versions of "Let's groove" (originally Archie Bell) and "Love hangover" (Diana Ross). The original tracks are just as good and include "I like it" and the brilliant "Hustlin'". From "Born to dance" try "Goin' to the disco", "Make it last all night", their cover of The Trammps "Disco inferno" and the brilliant "We were born to dance". From "Turn the music up" try the great title track (which made the UK charts) and "Ride the groove". This album also includes a cover of Chic's "Everybody dance".
