Weather Girls
Female vocalists Martha Wash and Izora Redman (formerly Rhodes) initially
recorded as backing singers on the Fantasy label (including for Sylvester)
and later in their own right as Two Tons of Fun. Changing their name to the
Weather Girls in 1982, gave an instant gay dancefloor classic with "It's
raining me". This track (written by Bob Esty of D.C.
LaRue and Paul
Jabara) has been remixed many times right into the 1990's.
